Another compelling reason to NEVER live in California.

Either that, or just don’t wear clothes.

Assembly Bill 1668 establishes a limit of 55 gallons per person daily as the standard for indoor residential water use, starting in the year 2022. Violators will have to pay a fine of $1,000 per day during normal seasons and $10,000 per day if “the violation occurs in a critically dry year immediately preceded by two or more consecutive below normal, dry, or critically dry years,” the law states.

...

Highly misleading statement (the whole article is deceptive). The fines will go against water districts, not individuals. The limit is per person and an average, not a per day limit, so a person can still do laundry and take a shower on the same day.

>Who doesn’t shower EVERY day?

Just shower outside. Problem solved.

This can’t be serious.

The article is fake news. See my post above.

I stand corrected: After last season’s epic precipitation, then the “Miracle March” that saved us this season, I was telling people that the Governor didn’t have an excuse for imposing further restrictions. I was wrong. I guess the tyrants decided they don’t need excuses to restrict
Liberty anymore; they just issue proclamations

“So as not to overburden the wealthy, there will be “provisions for swimming pools, spas, and other water features,” the law states.”

So you get a thousand dollar fine if you do laundry and shower on the same day. Meanwhile Mitt Romney, Elon Musk, or Barbara Streisand can have an infinity pool at their oceanside property, and have a roman statue of a winged cherub pissing into the pool 24/7.

Got it.

Either that, or just don’t wear clothes...? That's already an option in San Fran requiring eye bleach in most cases!

“We need to build a wall to keep Californians OUT of Colorado!”

Too late. The majority of idiots here in Colorado are liberals.

When people reach a certain age they don’t need to and really shouldn’t shower everyday.

Activity and glandular secretions are less after a certain age. It can really dry out the skin too.

Of course no two bodies are the same so some people may actually need to shower daily.

What do you think they did in the days before running water? Only the very rich could afford servants to bring water in by the bucket to heat up for baths.

Remember don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater? That was a real thing. Everyone used the same bucket of water to bathe out of.

Texas needs to pass a tax to prohibit Californians from moving here. Give them a cooling off period in another state. We do not need more crazy.

Same with AZ. Even the good right wing folks need an adjustment period to get their heads on straight. Say; 2 years. Years of subliminal indoctrination from billboards to radio takes a toll that needs to be unlearned.
