“I also shop Home Depot/Lowes instead of Amazon for those kinds of items.”
My wife is joking that she is getting a new small freezer to store our Costco buys for Valentine Day,
It will be delivered, installed and the old one hauled away for $20. I got 10% of the order as a Veteran.
Amazon had a little better price. However, we would have to remove the old one and get it to the curb to be hauled away. Then install the new one. When you are 80 something, the $20 fee from Home Depot is a heck of a deal.
“Recently I ordered a new printer and picked it up 2 hours later.”
I did the same thing with my current HP Printer two + years ago. When this one dies, I will upgrade and do the same.
We got $30 off the floor price by ordering on line like you did.
Oh, I might also mention...Overstock.com.
I’ve only ordered one order from them...some finish plumbing items. Thru my fault...I ordered the wrong thing. I called to see about returning the items and a human answered IMMEDIATELY. The return was easily arranged. There was a reasonable restocking fee but it included return shipping.
I don’t know why I don’t think of Overstock when I order things now as I would definitely do business with them again.
I am fortunate. There is a Summit store attached to the warehouse here in town. Great service!
Here's an example of a Magpul wallet (random item search) that is on the Walmart.com website, but with closer inspection, is really sold by Botach Tactical.
+1.
They ship to me super fast most of the time.
I love Amazon. I dont care if Stalin runs it.

as long as you get what you want you will tolerate supporting a mass murderer of 100milion people.
Bought groceries yesterday for pick up today, for someone in need. All done online.
I’ve never had a problem with ebay. I order everything for my boat off there. Just ordered replacement valves for my head from there. When we redid the exterior and interior of the boat about 3 years ago everything came from ebay. From the plexiglass I used to replace old port lights with dead lights to the wallpaper for the Saloon. I ordered the boat material from someone who had got it from a shipyard to redo the salon seating. I recently replaced a faucet in the vberth sink with one off ebay. They’re very handy for what we need. I also order some of the strange herbs I take from ebay.
I shop where I get the best price/value for the money, of which I don’t have enough to be real choosy.
Like some of the other posters, I check amazon for the item/price then look for it on walmart.com or (in the case of vitamins/supplements/etc) look for it on vitacost.com (owned by kroger).
Usually it’s cheaper or same exact price elsewhere. I only buy on amazon what I can’t find anywhere else or it’s dollars cheaper there.
But usually I look locally first. I like getting out and about. Our local ace hardware store and freds are my first stops.
Summit has a store on ebay too. I’ve shopped at it for stuff for our boat.
I use Walmart’s free ship to store service a number of times a year. I live within 2 mile from their local store, it is a convenient service.
As an entrepreneur in High End Audio, I do use eBay for a few items/parts normally used in High End Audio from trusted sellers based in Taiwan & Hong Kong.
Items such as banana connectors (Rhodium plated), German made (Rhodium plated) fuses and other misc small items.
Typically, these are not available on Amazon.
Since Amazon now taxes sales here in Illinois, I've been looking for alternatives to avoid it and WikiBuy helps with that. I'm a "starve the beast" kinda guy.
So if you use Google Chrome and shop Amazon, install the WikiBuy Chrome browser plug-in and give it a try. I've been pleasantly surprised thus far with the results and savings by purchasing elsewhere than Amazon, which doesn't always have the best price.
Dollar store...you don’t have to get dressed up like at Walmart.
You and your daughter sound like my kind of Walmart shopping.
I shop Walmart online...for most items I used to purchase on Amazon. Their free two day shipping is as good as Azn Prime shipping, with products being same, or lower, price. I order paper towels, TP, soaps, etc., for delivery to my door.
I use their online shop/pick up at store service for heavy items like dog food, bulk products, etc.
I try to avoid Amazon, as much as possible.
I was going to mention the same thing. One option if you want to take Amazon out of the loop is note the small business and see if they also sell on their own site or another sales site like etsy, ebay, etc.
