Thanks for the ping & thanks to all posters.

The generation now coming out of Western schools is unable to distinguish good from bad. Even those words are unacceptable. This results in impaired thinking ability. - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

In keeping silent about evil, in burying it so deep within us that no sign of it appears on the surface, we are implanting it, and it will rise up a thousandfold in the future. When we neither punish nor reproach evildoers . . . we are ripping the foundations of justice from beneath new generations. - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Modern society is hypnotized by socialism. It is prevented by socialism from seeing the mortal danger it is in. And one of the greatest dangers of all is that you have lost all sense of danger, you cannot even see where it’s coming from as it moves swiftly towards you. - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

the location is reported to be near the Parchin nuclear facility. An alternative location is appears to be possibly at/near Khojir, known to be where a missile production and testing facility is located and is close to Parchin.

social media reports of emergency personnel and equipment headed to the site.

.Iranian state TV are confirming a blast but not where it is/was. there is a great deal of confusion with no official word yet.

For what ever it matters, I’ll be pretty busy the next week with my next phase of strategic redeployment to the America Redoubt. So keep alert.

Domestically, the situation has changed significantly from virus to riots/insurrection now back to virus.

Wuhan Virus -

DoughtyOne post as of 6/25/2020

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3857623/posts

Reportedly the US has had its largest spike in cases since the whole mess began.

Texas Governor Abbott has paused the state’s reopening as coronavirus cases spike. Houston in particular has been especially hit. Gov Abbott stated things are at a hold, no regression with the possibility of some optional hospital procedures being delayed to keep space available.

Economy -
Stock market this week has been a wild ride. Most swings followed concerns about the resurgence of corona virus infections and any impact on the attempt to reopen the economy. Unemployment seem to have bottomed out but businesses are severely impacted and many are still not expected to survive long enough to reopen fully.

CW2/Civil Unrest -
What we’re seeing now is not democracy. It’s a classical marxist rebellion.

CHOP leaders seem to be encouraging supporters to go home after claiming ‘victory’. The “official” twitter account declared all operation to end. They also stated that they expect some ‘holdouts’ but no further organizing will be occurring to support this presence. Seattle Mayor still hasn’t put forth a plan to close the site down. She is also facing a lawsuit for enabling the protestors to terrorize residents a businesses in the CHOP and surrounding areas.

Relatively spotty violent protests continued overnight in addition to memorial vandalism. A large group showed up at DC councilman’s Allen’s house to harass.

Portland, perpetual Antifa hotbed, had rioters target two police precinct hq’s. At one, the North Portland precinct, rioters tried twice to establish a CHOP, both times. Last week Portland quickly stopped the construction of a CHOP as well.

A new CHOP appears to have been established in front of NY City Hall with the happy campers producing a list of demands including abolishing the police. About 100 are physically camped out, with numbers swelling to over 1000 in the evenings. One of their big demands is defining the police by 1 Billion and diverting the money to “their” causes. Progressives on the city council have already voiced a degree of support for the defunding.

A concerning trend is developing where local police are being ambushed, in some cases lured by false calls. I noted one previously. Most recently Grand Rapids police have come under fire. This activity is potentially paralleling the actions of the Weatherunderground (Ayers fame). Since the woke fury is focused on law enforcement, such attacks would serve to further demoralize police already at odds with local democrat governments for lack of support.

China/India -
Troop build up continues on both sides. it is alleged that China has brought S400 equivalent anti-aircraft systems into the area to counter Indian AF. Russia will accelerate S-400 air defense system deliveries to India as part of their stated support of India.

N Korea -
North Korea appears to have skipped an annual mass rally against the United States on the 70th anniversary of the Korean War. Until 2018, mass rallies against the US were held. But in 2018 and 2019 the rallies were stopped in response to the developing negotiations between Kim and Trump. The North appears to be toning down its anti-U.S. rhetoric to leave room for negotiations in the future by expressing discontent toward the U.S. on paper but avoiding any further provocations. NOTE: we are back to the passive/aggressive policy of NK bluster.

Israel -
A Hamas spokesman said the annexation of West Bank settlements and the Jordan Valley is considered a declaration of war. Resistance would come not only from the west bank but gaza as well.

Iran -
Massive explosion last night just outside of Tehran. Iranian state TV is reporting that blast in a gas facility near a defense ministry base was the cause of the explosion in eastern Tehran. It quotes an informed military source as saying that the gas facility is not related to military sites in the area. With daylight Iranian TV is showing the burned out tank and surrounding areas.

Iraq -
Major strike against Iranian sponsored militias. Iraqi security forces have raided a HQ of Ketaib Hezbollah (KH), the Iranian proxy that threatened to burn Iraq to the ground if Kadhimi became PM. It appears the particular cell was preparing another rocket attack on US targets. They arrested 13 members, along with rockets, IEDs and Sniper rifles.
KH are now reportedly on high alert. Videos showing them outside the Green Zone which is currently under lock down. Other reports that militias are coming to Bagdad from outlying areas. They are also threatening to kill PM Kadhimi for being a traitor.
MY OBSERVATIONS: Things may well get very violent over the next few days. Shia militias coming into predominantly Sunni territory is an already explosive mix.

Black Swans -
Being involve in dam safety issues as part of my job, I’ve been watching the situation at the Three Gorges Dam, in China. The rivers in that part of China are experiencing get worst flooding in 70 years. There have been concerns raised about the stability of the dam (how well it is anchored to bedrock), the quality of the concrete and steel as well as over all design. The government has progressively lower the protection levels from 10,000 year event to 100 year events. Some satellite photos show curving of the dam crest, with critics saying it is proof of potential imminent failure. The curves in those photos show huge shifts in the crest and if true would signal imminentt threat. However, as some argued, it may be a product of image compositions from the satellites. What is important is that 400 million live down stream of the dam and a failure of a dam this large would be catastrophic.

Wuhan Virus -

Yesterday the White House task force on the corona virus held its first news conference isn several weeks.

Texas Gov Abbott ordered bars to be shut down to deal with increasing corona virus infections. Other outdoor activities restricted as well.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez says he will sign an emergency order Saturday to close all beaches in the county for the 4th of July weekend.

North Carolina’s governor has ordered people across the state to wear masks or other face coverings in public to fight the spread of COVID-19.

California Gov Newsom threatened several counties with renewal of the lockdown and funding cut if they don’t make their policies more strict to curb the perceived spike in Kalifornia cases.

One aspect being underreported is the age of those being infected under this spike. “Today we’re seeing more viruses in younger individuals, fewer of those individuals are requiring hospitalizations and having a fatal outcome,” Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) told reporters Thursday.

India reported over 17,000 new coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours, pushing the country’s total above 500,000, federal health ministry data showed on Saturday, with infections surging in major cities including the capital New Delhi. India has the world’s fourth-biggest outbreak of the virus.

Economy -
The Federal Reserve imposed new restrictions on banks after its annual stress test showed potential problems concerning minimum capital levels. All large banks will be required to re-submit and update capital plans later in the year to reflect current stresses. Fed officials also assessed the resiliency of larger banks in three different coronavirus-related downside scenarios: a V-shaped recession and recovery; a slower, U-shaped recession and recovery; and a W-shaped, double-dip recession.

(CNBC)  Nike CEO John Donahoe warned employees via email that layoffs were coming.
“We will soon be forced to make some difficult choices that will likely result in a net reduction of jobs,” the email said, according to Complex Magazine.  After the coronavirus crisis closed most of its stores, Nike reported sales were down 38% with a net loss of $790 million in the fourth quarter, CNBC’s Jessica Golden reported.

CW2/Civil Unrest -
What we’re seeing now is not democracy. It’s a classical marxist rebellion.

Minneapolis city council has approved a measure to completely disband the police department. They have no clue what they are going to replace it with yet. The vote does automatically dismantle the department, but is a first step in a long legislative process that will ultimately need popular support by city residents in a November election to amending the city’s charter.

Seattle tried to remove the barricades around CHOP but protestors turned them away. City decided to give them another 72 hours.

China/India -
According to India Today, India is exploring all types of military options as a response if Chinese aggression continues. Some options being discussed are special operations to push the Chinese back from Pangong Lake or continue a military build-up at other sectors along the LAC.

Hong Kong -
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced visa restrictions against Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials in response to China’s moves to impose control over the semi-autonomous city of Hong Kong. These restrictions also apply to family members.

Israel -
IAF bombed a number of Hamas targets in Gaza in response to the launch of several rockets toward Israel. Things continue to remain tense as the July 1 annexation approaches.

Iran -
Speculation that the ‘official’ story of the source of the blast a couple days ago is a smoke screen. OSINT satellite imagery analysis show the effect of a blast and fire appears centered on a facility for the Shahid Bakeri Industrial group which makes solid fuel propellent for rockets. Iranian state TV’s report on the blast showed blacken gas cylinders, though the image was tightly focused and did not show anything else surrounding it.

Iraq -
Iranian backed Shia militias have been told to return to their bases and leave Bagdad.

Just imagine what would transpire between India and China if this happened:

This week I did something different.I was browsing around and I stumbled around looking at, of all things, a huge Dam in China.

It’s called the Three Gorges dam

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=wiki+pedia+three+gorges+dam&atb=v194-1&ia=web

The Three Gorges Dam is a hydroelectric gravity dam that spans the Yangtze River by the town of Sandouping, in Yiling District, Yichang, Hubei province, China. The Three Gorges Dam has been the world’s largest power station in terms of installed capacity since 2012.

Wikipedia.

The Three Gorges Reservoir Region is located in the upstream of the Yangtze River at the boundary of Chongqing municipality and Hubei province with the area of 59900 km² and with the population of 16 million. The Three Gorges Reservoir Region stretches along the Yangtze River from Jiangjin District of Chongqing to Yichang City of Hubei, which is very narrow and where the geography is complex. The mountainous areas represent 74% of the region only with 4.3% plain area in the river valley and 21.7% hilly area. The climate of the reservoir region of the Three Gorges Project is the subtropical monsoon climate. Its location is in the transfer between the northern temperate zone and the subtropical zone, where it is hot and it rains a lot with the annual rainfall of about 1100 mm. The valley of the Three Gorges Reservoir Region below 500 m has an annual temperature 17–19 °C and, with the frost-free period annually lasts 300–340 days. The annual runoff flow at the site of the dam of the Three Gorges Project is 451 billion m³ with the annual sediment discharge of 530 million tons. and is a huge project gone wrong in China like so many things do.

Here’s what initially go my in interest:

https://archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/264440712/#264457406

The Three Gorges Dam which dams the Yangtze river is reaching epic proportions and could possibly break open. Even if it doesn’t it will one day for a variety of reasons. If and when it does here’s what Furbers guy wrote.

Directly there are close to 600 Million(others say 400 million—with a possible death toll of 100 million) if I’m getting the numbers correct in the direct path of the disaster. Assume at least a quarter die so 150M deaths.(100M) Maybe more or maybe less.

Indirectly, it triggers a global financial collapse as it will take years for China to rebuild the dam and then years more to reach the same manufacturing capabilities it has now. That isn’t counting the general disruptions it would cause to their operations throughout the country if the CCP itself doesn’t fall completely destroying any output it has.

It’s really hard to actually give a real answer because it would almost literally be the end of China as we know it and the CCP along with it. It would be such a global “clusterfork” that as much as I disdain the CCP I kind of don’t want the dam to break because Its going to f... my life up as well.

So Furbers guy(cia asset?) claims this dam bursting is a huge issue that would be of worldwide consequence. Amazing.

More from Furbers guy thought to be a CIA asset but who really knows:

The upstream region of The Three Gorges Dam is currently experiencing historic rainfall and flooding. All of this water will accumulate and put pressure on the dam downstream. This may become The Three Gorges’ Dam’s greatest test since its creation Considering the Chicom record of incompetent structural engineering due to Communist willful ignorance, there is a real possibility of some negative event affecting the region as a consequence of the above mentioned factors.

Sure, the dam my survive — and that’s possible. But denying the opposite, considering all of the circumstantial factors, is irrational. Finally: yes, June is the major rainfall season for the Yangtze River Basin. Yes, the same region has been known to flood in June. However — and here’s the crucial point (and the reason why we’re discussing this event here) — the current volume of rainfall and associated flooding has been described as, “historic” and unprecedented. Therefore this discussion can be considered as one concerning a historic event:

the rainfall.

The dam, well this is indirectly associated. No rain, no water, no problem. Unfortunately for the Three Gorges Dam, there is currently plenty of rain, thus plenty of water, and as a result, the potential for a serious problem.

............

If it happens the rotation of the earth will slow (I checked into this and it won’t be a major issue where gravity will mess with us or any of that it's almost a non-issue except for the fact that it takes tremendous energy to make that happen)

......................

If you are curious about the discussion on the lifespan of the dam, here is an excerpt from the essay by a Chinese researcher who criticized the dam project, particularly due to the potential for creating havoc in the context of floods within the Yangtze River Basin upstream — which is what is exactly happening now. Note that the researcher does not specifically claim the dam will last 20 years because the dam was not completed at the time of the essay. > Some Chinese say things that are difficult to understand, so you have to translate them.

When the water storage is 135 meters, the water level at 500 kilometers is nearly 170 meters; in other words:

when the normal storage of the Three Gorges Reservoir is 175 meters, the water level in Fueling area, 500 kilometers away from the dam site, may be as high as 210 meters. .

Of course, the higher the water level, the larger the cross-section of the water. The water level must be less than 210 meters, but it is likely to be 200 meters above and below. So, what about Chongqing, which is more than 100 kilometers upstream?

The elevation of 200 meters above sea level is the level of the uppermost step of Chongqing Chaotianmen Wharf. This level is the safety line of Chongqing. Once flooded to this location, Chongqing is almost flooded. Chief Engineer Wang’s calculation has another condition. He counts it as a flood in 20 years.

If it is a flood in 50 years, the water level will be even higher. Chongqing may be flooded! Under such circumstances, the reservoir had no choice but to store floods to ensure Chongqing’s safety. Knowing this already, why bother throwing so much money into the Yangtze River? This was written in 2002, and Chongqing is now flooded, nearly 20 years later. Interesting, especially when the historic current rainfall is added to the situation

. .............

All the rain in the area naturally will flow towards the Three Gorge’s Dam, as it is basically the pillar of hope for all water traversing in the area out to the East China Sea. Many supposed dams upstream that have been collapsing, and so have bridges. If you got a massive wall ,with a few holes that don’t allow the same volume of water coming in as it let’s out, that’s suddenly stopping all that massive surge of destructive water that gains volume and mass, something that will gain in size bigger than it self in a matter of a week, it will eventually collapse and what ever destructive force that comes with it will crash on down at alarming force on anything downstream.

The stagnant, but high turbulent water (due to ship transportation, natural forces etc) have been carving the landscape and creating earth quakes and land slides along it’s upstream river path since it’s opening in 2012.

It had 8 years to change the terrain to hold more water than it is supposedly was able to hold in the first place. It’s a colossal mistake that should never have happened, and the entire world is going to suffer after it’s eventual collapse. >When you got a pool that’s building in size that will be able to retain more volume and mass, do you think the surrounding wall will be able to handle the massive difference it wasn’t made to withstand?

The answer is a big fat no

China has suffered from continuous heavy rains recently, as many as 24 provinces have been affected by floods, and the sound of the dam break of the Three Gorges Dam in the Yangtze River has just started. The Chongqing Hydrological Monitoring Station has issued the first red warning of the floods of the Qijiang River in history.(actually it’s the first “red warning” in 40 years one of the reasons there is so much news about the dam since the Chinese take their warnings seriously) take Affected by rainfall, it is expected that the Chongqing section of the Qijiang River Basin Super historical floods will occur in the next 8 hours. Wang Weiluo, a well-known water conservancy expert in China, once warned that: the flood control function of the Three Gorges Dam is useless. Residents in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River should prepare lifesaving equipment and plan escape routes as soon as possible. Once the levee breaks, the flood will rush all the way to Shanghai and the estuary will “ It’s all done.” Actually if the dam breaks it also threatens Wuhan the fabled start of the wu flu a city of over 10 million people. Wang Weiluo said that the Three Gorges Dam was constructed by the same team from engineering demonstration, design and final construction quality inspection. It was undoubtedly a player and a referee. Qian Zhengying, Zhang Guangdou and other scholars responsible for the design and quality inspection of the Three Gorges Dam, The letter to Guo Shuyan, deputy director of the Three Gorges Dam Construction Project, mentioned at the time: “In fact, the quality (quality) of the Three Gorges Project is not as good as we wrote. The quality (quality) of the Three Gorges Project is average because it is built too It’s fast, the time is too short.” In addition, according to the Chongqing Maritime Department, due to the effects of continuous heavy rains, the water level of Chongqing Beibei, Cuntan, Changshou and other rivers rose significantly on the 18th local time, ushering in the first flood peak this year, and temporary traffic control was imposed on some waters.

Passenger ships and ro-ro ships pass through the waters of Huangcao Gorge and Tongluo Gorge. However, today (22nd) at 11:50, the history of Chongqing Hydrological Monitoring Station issued the first red warning of Qijiang flood. Affected by rainfall, it is expected that over-historical floods will occur in the Chongqing section of the Qijiang River Basin in the next 8 hours. The highest water level of the Wucha Station in the Qijiang River in Jiangjin District will exceed the guaranteed water level (200.51 meters) by about 5.7 to 6.3 meters, an increase of about 10 to 11 meters. Call on the villagers to prepare for disaster prevention

. ....................

When one investigates how the Chicoms literally built a broken dam in Ecuador just a few years ago >An inspection of the structure in November 2018 discovered 7,600 cracks in the eight distributors that inject water into turbines. The cracks are due to the use of substandard building materials and inferior welds.( same thing happening in the three Gorges Dam,it's already showing a bulge from aerial photos. A sign its partially bending. The big problem is that when the pilings were installed instead of drilling into the bedrock and then pouring concrete those who built the dam,Chinese, built it right on top of the bedrock with no support underneath. This alone created a time bomb that will blow up one day and when it does be prepared for what was introduced by furber,a huge worldwide disaster effecting not only China but the entire world. If that wasn’t enough the dam was built on a fault line with earthquakes up toe 8.1 predicted in time.Talk aobut a huge cluster just waiting to happen.

https://dialogo-americas.com/articles/china-builds-hydroelectric-plant-with-cracks-in-ecuador/

They can understand why a buildup in water volume due to historic rainfall and flooding within the upstream region of the Yangtze River Basin can accumulate into a steady force putting enough pressure on just the right crack within the Three Gorges Dam to slowly expand into severe structural damage. >>264458837 It’s worth remembering:

there *is documented evidence* that the Coca Codo Sinclair (CCS) Hydroelectric Power Plant in Ecuador was built by the same Chicoms who built the Three Gorges Dam — and the CCS included over 7,000 cracks and had to be evaluated by a German company afterwards due to Chicom incompetence.

Reports suggest the Ecuadorian government is cautious of the dam, and justifiably so. >It’s too massive an event to be so generally unnoticed. Surely people living at the time of Chernobyl had a similar thought. Raising attention here might help to save lives, either now or in the future. Who knows who is lurking.

Why do people here immediately think that this discussion involves folks who are cheering on an event that may lead to the deaths of innocent Chinese peasants? Ending of the CCP regime, sure — but the death of innocent peasants due to CCP willful ignorance of structural engineering due to internal Party corruption, that is a very serious crime.

.........................

More on the instability of the dam, forget where I got this one:

****************KEY STUFF HERE***********

It isn’t fake.

They didn’t secure the dam to the bedrock, they set the pylons on the river bed. It(the dam) isn’t even CONNECTED TO THE BEDROCK! China hired out the job, and some BEST PRICE company came and produced an improperly welded and improperly mixed concrete dam that was not connected to the bedrock in order to save cost. The warping is happening because water is seeping underneath the disconnected pylons and moving them. This dam is literal sh_t engineering and will kill millions if the CCP doesn’t evacuate!

It is almost too crazy to be true, like a perfect storm. The dam was weakened in 2018-2019 when the first pictures of warping were released, and in 2020, the very same year China killed the world with corona, the dam receives record rainfall. The thing they didn’t account for is when this much water is dammed up, it actually puts too much weight on the tectonic plates, and can trigger massive earthquakes. a single 8.0+ quake combined with historic flooding, combined with already warped infrastructure will cause this disaster to manifest.

........................***************...............

........................... More from Furbers CIA asset:

Tue 23 Jun 2020 19:19:59 No.264535545 Report Quoted By: >>264535943 >>264534652 >Too busy dealing with local issues You really don’t understand the Chinese or more specifically the CCP. This would be the end of them. They won’t be concerned with any of that until they get their enemies under control and prevent them from gaining from their loss as their own country will be rising up against them as well. They would strike out hard against every outside force first so they have a chance of dealing with the internal strife without being taken advantage of.

Because the CCP cares about the CCP.

Also it doesn’t have to be nukes. China has had free reign to move cargo into the country for years. There could be nuclear weapons within the country, there could be EMPs ready to detonate, plagues ready to be unleashed on the heartlands and any number of things which would be suicide under any other circumstance but not in this case. The dam breaking is CCP being fatally wounded. They strike out against otherwise healthy targets because they are likely to die anyway. Those hit can either deal with the issues China created and then strike back or deal with the issues and wait. Because there is no point in starting a nuclear war with a foe that is already dying even if they already nuked you. I may come off sounding crazy but its hard to really explain the Chinese mindset without interacting with them.

(the preceding from Furbers guy.)

(Reuters) - Delta Air Lines said late on Friday it will soon send warning notices to about 2,500 pilots regarding possible furloughs at the airline, as the industry takes a huge blow after the coronavirus pandemic slashed air travel demand.

Looking into the tea leaves for the latest monthly job numbers. It is estimated that the U.S. regained an additional 3 million jobs in June, with forecasts going as high as 8 million. The unemployment rate is expected to drop to 12% from 13.3%.

As of Tuesday, 4.68 million homeowners were in forbearance plans, allowing them to delay their mortgage payments for at least three months. The number of active mortgage forbearance plans rose by 79,000 in the past week, erasing roughly half of the improvement seen since the peak of May 22.

CW2/Civil Unrest -
What we’re seeing now is not democracy. It’s a classical marxist rebellion.

BLM/Antifa under most radars, has started to take their protests into smaller communities/suburbs as they warned. Under the radar until they marched into Beverly Hills, where they moved through residential neighborhoods late Friday night, chanting, playing loud music and stealing any American flags. These incursions have primarily occurred in dark blue areas close to BLM/Antifa base support areas.
Seattle mayor met with the CHOP bunch, expects them to be out by today (Sunday). Not all of CHOP agrees though . . . monitoring.

Applications for Illinois firearms permits have been up 501% from June 1 to June 17 compared to 2019, according to the Chicago Tribune.  This corresponds to the period of Floyd riots and associated skyrocketing violent crime.

China/India -
It is reported that both sides have deployed their more advanced anti aircraft missile systems to the disputed area. Sources said that Indian Army has deployed three more divisions in eastern Ladakh region to bolster its position on the Line of Actual Control.

N Korea -
Japanese defence minister Taro Kono expressed renewed concerns over the state to NK Kim’s health. Apart from a short photo shoot months ago, which many thought was a body double, he has remained in Waldo mode.

Israel -
Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine have published statements of mutual cooperation with Hamas to improve the coordination of the militant groups against possible West Bank annexation. No word / information on Hezbollah and Iranian actions but Quds Force leader Esmail Ghaani recently visited Syria where he threatened Israel - a common speech, but timed with the July 1 annexation build a new level of concern.

Iran -
According to Saudi Press Agency (Saudi Arabia’s official news agency) Saudi Arabia forced three Iranian boats to retreat from its waters on Thursday after firing warning shots.

Iraq -
Tense following the preemptive raid on an Iranian backed militia.

Black Swans -
Locust swarm of near biblical proportions are continuing to sweep through Africa and southern Asia. they are also hitting South America in a significant manner. Throw in a few natural disasters, well you have famine on a very large scale.

Great Coronavirus Panic of 2020 -
Many of the various categories I’m following have now integrated effects from this pandemic, but I’m keeping them separate for clarity. Check numerous FR threads for more specific corona virus threads. On the good side, deaths have clearly been decreasing since April 2, 2020.

Yesterday’s data dump from DoughtyOne 6/28/20

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3860097/posts

Infections rising in parts of the country. . . . . .

As DoughtyOne notes, this is a numbers game and the raw numbers and how local officials are recording and reporting them skews the real picture. What remains to be seen this week is how much of a knee jerk reaction there will be by reimposing lock down restrictions on an economy already bleeding profusely from the first lock down.

CW2 -
Sunday has come and gone and CHOP is still in existence. However all things are still not happy there. The ‘leadership’ is becoming increasingly perturbed at their homeless problem where a tent city has popped up in the park they control. Their ‘security’ has to deal more and more with problems there. Rumors coming out seem to indicate that the formal CHOP protest will consolidate into the police precinct building, releasing the rest of the 3 blocks or so, back to the city. There is dissent to any pull back or drawdown within the ranks, so I expect this soap opera to continue throughout this week.

In some of the strongest moves to date a district attorney in Oklahoma hit several protesters with charges of assault, rioting, and terrorism in connection to recent violent protests that took place in Oklahoma City. This stands in stark contrast to the rioters in places like NYC that were returned to the streets right away after arrest/processing. In a parallel development, DOJ and Park Police are identifying, arresting and charging participants in the Lafayette Park riot last week with federal charges - again, no catch and release like DC has been applying. Adding teeth to arrests may have some interim effect in limiting riots and vandalism of memorials and federal properties. It may seem small, but it is a start with tons of videos and photos to screen and identify the criminals.

St Louis was a hot spot for protests and riots, highlighted by a BLM group attacking a catholic pray group and another breaking into a gated community and being faced with an armed resident. Rioters are pushing the envelope and encounters with armed citizens are likely to increase as they attempt to try to threaten a wider group of citizens with violence. Another example over the weekend was in the small town of Eminence, Missouri, where credible threats were made against the sheriff and three deputies. The sheriff notified “ state defense forces”, apparently militias, and about 100 showed up to support the sheriff. I didn’t see any follow-up reports to see if the protest scheduled for Saturday occurred, but I’m sure if they did, they definitely didn’t get violent.

Citizens increasingly armed and standing in front of these protesters/rioters. Its not going to take long at this rate before things go kinetic on both sides.

Economy -
Chesapeake Energy Corp is preparing to file for bankruptcy in the coming days, making it the largest oil and gas producer to unravel after an energy market rout caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. The Oklahoma City-based company is in the final stages of negotiating a roughly $900 million debtor-in-possession loan to support its operations while under Chapter 11 bankruptcy-court protection, two of the sources said. The company is reeling under a mountain of debt totaling more than $9 billion.

Israel/West Bank -
Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip have called for a “day of popular rage” on Wednesday to protest Israel’s plan to apply its sovereignty to parts of the West Bank. Hamas and Palestinian Jihad lead the factions in the declaration that any annexation would mean war. They also promised any territory annexed would have “popular protection committees” set up to confront the plan and organize active resistance.

There is speculation that Israel may be backing off from a full annexation given the resistance from the arab world and may likely scale it back. This altered plan would not include the Jordan valley. It is also rumored that Benny Gantz, the alternative PM and Defense Minister favors the scale back.

Iran -
More OSINT evidence indicates that the official story concerning last weeks explosion outside of Tehran is false. The burn area created alone is separate from the ‘propane tank’ and is centered in a region believed to contain a tunnel system supporting Iran’s missile production capabilities. Some analysts also indicate that the identified blast area is close to where Iran has tested nuclear weapons triggers in the past.

Hong Kong -
Protesters in Hong Kong marched against the Chinese government’s new national security law this weekend. On Sunday, residents of Hong Kong held a silent protest in the Kowloon district. Pepper spray was reported to have been used on marchers. The law would give Beijing authority to handle criminal cases and decide how to interpret the law in the region. The Chinese government would also be able to imprison violators of the law for up to 10 years.

Syria -
J Post reports that attention is being fixed on Southern Syria as a potential future flash point due to the presence of a considerable IRGC and related Iranian forces and bases. As such, Israel has been increasingly targeting bases in the area. The region is also predominately anti Assad and recent Syrian military movements into the area suggest that they are a growing concern for the regime.

Infections rising in parts of the country. . . . . .

And now potentially a new virus from China - The World Health Organization (WHO) will “read carefully” a Chinese study on a new flu virus found in pigs, a spokesman said on Tuesday, saying the findings underscored the importance of influenza surveillance during the COVID-19 pandemic. (Reuters). Reportedly, this new nasty has potential to become the next pandemic.

With an apparent resurgence in the corona virus, we are suffering through a resurgence of Dr Fauci and his drivel about vaccinations. CDC officials are assuming the current virus spikes are uncontainable an are pushing for a regression into lock down mode again.

CW2 -
Wednesday Pro-Palestinian organizations in the US are planning demonstrations across the US against Israeli annexation of the West Bank. Given the antisemitic bent of BLM and various other Antifa elements, they will have a lot of potential useful idiots to draw upon to attend these “protests” . Protests to be in Chicago, San Diego, Brooklyn, LA, San Fran and Toronto - just to name a few.

BTW, life and death continue in CHOP, with several more killings. Seattle Mayor discovering just how influential she is at having them leave the site. Now a second federal lawsuit against the city. Need more popcorn.

BTW, the democrat couple welding arms against BLM when they crashed the gate and started threatening the neighborhood. Well there are photos out showing the ‘peaceful’ protesters pointing what looks like an AR styled rifle at them.

Economy -
The employment-population ratio — the number of employed people as a percentage of the U.S. adult population — plunged to 52.8% in May, meaning 47.2% of Americans are jobless. Economists are looking at May/June employment numbers to see if the job market has actually bottomed out and is in recover mode. However, with some states re instituting limited lock down, those numbers could be hurt.
Housing numbers are due out today, may provide gauge for recovery activity and success.

Strategic Deployments -
Some of the US forces slated for removal from Germany may be relocated to Poland.

Israel/West Bank -
The PA reportedly has sent a letter to the Quartet (a foursome consisting of the United Nations, the US, Russia and the European Union) stating that they are prepared to renew negotiations with Israel and agree to “minor territorial exchanges”. PA also said their offer would be pulled off the table if Israel begins any annexation of the West Bank. The territorial exchanges are based on the 1967 border. As part of the Trump plan, PA was encouraged to engage in discussions immediately, but have balked on any until now, which I see as an eleventh hour stalling tactic as well as a PR play (Israel rejects talks. . . . etc) as the 1967 boundary is a non-starter with Israel.

Hong Kong -
After weeks of working it thru its system, China has formally adopted a controversial security law, giving it new powers over Hong Kong. Its terms are not yet clear, meaning residents still do not know the measures they will have to abide by. The law could be implemented as early as Wednesday. Pro-Democracy groups are assessing the impact and looking at ways to continue the resistance, though from what has been released, Hong Kong’s “independence” is no longer. I wouldn’t be surprised if China moves in with military in the near future in response to any future protests. Washington on Monday began moves to end Hong Kong’s special status trade relationship with the US. Britain is offering “paths to citizenship” for residents.

China/India -
More meetings between general officers to try to defuse ongoing tensions.

Nurse reported on Twitter that a COVID19 patient is tested every day and the result is another positive. So one person can add perhaps 5-10 to the statistics. Can anyone confirm this?

BREAKING: Trump Administration TAKES DOWN Secret Iranian TERROR Operation In The US
Daily Fodder ^ | July 02, 2020 | Daily Fodder Team

“A forfeiture complaint and warrant were filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia alleging that all petroleum-product cargo aboard the Bella with international maritime organization (IMO) number 9208124, the Bering with IMO number 9149225, the Pandi with IMO number 9105073, and the Luna with IMO number 9208100 are subject to forfeiture based on the terrorism forfeiture statute.

“John C. Demers, Assistant Attorney General, National Security Division; Michael R. Sherwin, Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia; Steven W. Cagen, Special Agent in Charge, Denver, Colorado, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI); Rainer S. Drolshagen, Special Agent in Charge, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Federal Bureau of Investigation, made the announcement today.

“The documents allege a scheme involving multiple parties affiliated with the IRGC to covertly ship Iranian gasoil, obtained via ship-to-ship transfers, to Venezuela. The shipments are alleged to be a “source of influence” for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a designated foreign terrorist organization.

“The documents allege that profits from petroleum sales support the IRGC’s full range of nefarious activities, including the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery, support for terrorism, and a variety of human rights abuses, at home and abroad.

“There are approximately 302,502 barrels of Iranian gasoline currently on board the Bella, approximately 302,522 barrels of Iranian gasoline currently on board the Bering, approximately 259,700 barrels of Iranian gasoline currently on board the Luna, and approximately 298,484 barrels of Iranian gasoline currently on board the Pandi.

“United States District Judge James E. Boasberg issued a warrant to seize all Iranian gasoline on these four vessels, based on a probable cause showing of forfeitability. The warrant commands the property to be brought to the sole jurisdiction of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

“A warrant for arrest and civil forfeiture complaint are merely allegations. The burden to prove forfeitability in a civil forfeiture proceeding is upon the government. Funds successfully forfeited based on terrorism authorities are in part directed to the the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund (http://www.usvsst.com/).

“In announcing the forfeiture complaint, Assistant Attorney General Demers, Acting U.S. Attorney Sherwin, Special Agent in Charge Cagen, and Special Agent in Charge Drolshagen commended the work of those who investigated the case from HSI and FBI. Finally, they acknowledged the work of Assistant U.S. Attorneys Zia Faruqui, Brian Hudak, and Stuart Allen; National Security Division, Counterintelligence and Export Control Section, Deputy Chief Elizabeth Cannon and Trial Attorney David Lim; and U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia Paralegal Liz Swienc and Legal Assistant Jessica McCormick.”

Kim Jong-un claims he has totally stopped the coronavirus

SANGMI CHA, REUTERS22 HOURS AGO

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visits a submarine factory in an undisclosed location, North Korea, in this undated picture released by North Korea’s Central News Agency (KCNA) on July 23, 2019
(KCNA via Reuters)

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un told a meeting of the politburo of the ruling Workers Party the North had stopped the novel coronavirus from making inroads in the country, state news agency KCNA said on Friday.

“We have thoroughly prevented the inroad of the malignant virus and maintained a stable anti-epidemic situation despite the worldwide health crisis, which is a shining success achieved,” Kim Jong Un said in a statement carried by KCNA.

He warned against self-complacency or relaxation in the anti-epidemic effort and urged North Koreans to maintain “maximum alert”, KCNA said in a statement.

The politburo meeting on Thursday comes as many hard-hit countries are easing lockdowns, even as the world moves quickly past the grim milestones of 10 million confirmed infections and 500,000 deaths.

North Korea has reopened schools but kept a ban on public gatherings and made it mandatory for people to wear masks in public places as part of its response to the coronavirus threat, a World Health Organization (WHO) official said on Wednesday.

While the reclusive country has not confirmed any infections, its public health ministry has reported all 922 people checked so far have tested negative. Hundreds of people, mostly cargo handlers at seaports and land borders, are regularly quarantined for monitoring.

Thursday’s politburo meeting also touched on construction of the Pyongyang General Hospital, underway in the capital. Kim expressed satisfaction with the project and thanked the builders for making headway under unfavorable conditions.

“Kim Jong Un made sure powerful national measures were taken for urgently solving the problems arising to brilliantly complete the hospital which would provide the people with the most advanced medical service, to be of the world standard,” KCNA said.
