You generally lose about 20% turnout in mid-term elections vs presidential elections. If Sanders is at the top of the ticket, there will be a lot of democrats staying at home, most of whom vote straight ticket. Without someone at the top of the bill who they are exiced about, why brave the weather to vote for lesser politicians? With those losses, even CA and the squad’s territories are up for grabs by republicans.

This is true, but the results are also true.
Dinobernie will not only hand us the House, but may well hand us a huge majority in the House.
This is why I want to see Bernie as Mondale or McGovern redux. I want to see the House turn, so that Pelosi, Swallwell, Schiff, Nadler et al can be sent to the back bench.
When McCarthy (or hopefully someone else) takes the gavel they should instruct Pelosi to leave the gavel where it is and leave the rostrum and go to her seat. None of this passing the gavel photo crap. No comity. Just hammer these bastards at every chance.
I hope things play out this way.
