Over a division in the slime pit.

And it was announced that there are just some 2500 left in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He’ll be looking for a new job, and he is just trying to adjust his resume’ accordingly.

How does “I have determined that it is in the best interest of the people we serve to remain as Secretary until the end of the term.”

Indicate resignation?

Very Orwellian

Don't these people read?

There is plenty of reporting and evidence that it now looks like the Capitol breach and riot was all planned ahead of time and most of the people inside were antifa and democRATic government plants used to embarrass and point the finger at Trump, in order to stage their phony baloney impeachment in the House.

Just add him the list of fair weather friends and associates of the president.

In my day, if you resigned effective at a future date, you were told to leave that day within the hour.

Careful about the door slamming you in the ass on the way out.

If ever again the people get to elect their own president (highly doubtful), my suggestion to him/her would be to spend a few years before running vetting out competent, dynamic and courageous individuals to fill staff positions throughout your administration. You need thousands and they must be loyal and top shelf. It is fatal to rely on politicians to provide a bunch of lackeys for you to use. You need depth.

Remember, every one in Trump’s Cabinet were chosen by Mitch McConnell.

“”Azar’s resignation will take effect on January 20,””

Why was it necessary for him to cite the virus? He’s going to be replaced anyway by Biden - why put the zinger in his resignation?

This, along with so many “quitters”, is both sad and outrageous.

Is there nobody loyal to the president who has done so much for them and their country?

".... What’s the point of “resigning” with your last day being the exact same last day you would have been out of a job due to the incoming new regime?...."

Because people like this have no integrity. They are weak-spined and ballless.

He's doing this to make a statement to the democRATS that he is really one of them and needs a job in the new Biden commie regime.

A loyal employee would have quietly stuck it out until the boss left and not said a word.

But no, this guy has to make it all about himself. Loser.

I just received an RNC fundraising mailer prominently featuring DJT. On the outside of the envelope only DJT was visible or I never would have opened it. GOP stooges still fundraising from deplorable rubes by using the president.

Those problems lay squarely at the feet of Mitch McConnell and the Republicans in the Senate. Trump needed candidates they would approve.

Totally agree. However most all of these folks don’t want the disgraceful ‘vetting’ from the Rats. The discouraging actions of the left cause the finest of candidates to not get involved in the political process of denigration.

Remember when the National Review was a “conservative” publication? Now they sound just like the NYT.
