While I think that Milley is a douche, there have been generals undermining the presidents they served under from McClellan to MacArthur. All sorts of people think they know better than their boss does. It’s hardly a sign of a secret cabal or any kind of vindication of your views on the cause of the Civil War.

You DO seem to get it. There is not a DS coup to seize control of the govt; that was already accomplished some time ago. The effort was to block access by the American people via Trump.
Trump is a super tech manager. What we see in hindsight is that he was masterfully deceived; there was virtually no one he could call upon to effect change in government operations and procedures. Most of his accomplishments were achieved by executive orders... effective while he survived; reversible by whoever followed him.
AND the DS tried to rid itself of this managerial evangelist: TWICE! It is a monument to the incompetence of the people who run our government (and our country) that neither impeachment obtained any merit - in the same way that their policies under Joe Bitem has gained no merit. So enraged was the DS at Trump's independence that they immediately set about to reverse engineer everything he built - to the disastrous effects that we are now experiencing.
This destructive DS bent has accelerated their ultimate program: weaken our strength and our sovereignty, destroy the dollar, weaken our international security alliances and align our destiny with a future 'league of nations' cabal. The American people should still feel that they have control of their govt while still being enslaved and helpless.
Their victories are hollow and shallow - but effective, albeit incompetent. Witness Trump's second 'impeachment' (which was legally no impeachment at all); DS shallow clarion, Nancy Pelosi, blared forth: Well, he is impeached and history can't change that! A great symbol of DS achievements::: shallow hollow disasters.
THe senior executive serivces was a great institution when first organized but slowly but surely it was compromised and taken over by:
HILLARY CLINTON.

Trump may have been blind and played for a while. But, once he finds out who people really are he immediately turns the table on them and starts playing them instead of being played! Its just how good he is.
