That is absolutely right, it is extremely rare that humans choose virtue and integrity before money. And no... I do not have to accept what I know to be wrong and never will.
I’m with you. A few years ago DH and I went through our portfolio and moved stocks in companies who are perpetuating the destruction of America.
Our bottom line never suffered, and I sleep better at night.
The current conditions are not Adam Smith’s idea of any good free enterprise system/economy. He was totally not in favor of monopolies of any kind, no matter how derived. He knew them to be inherently not in favor of a competitive environment and contained plenty of seeds for corruption within and without. The seeds for corruption beyond the monopoly come from the ability to use its power to influence other private as well as public interests in its favor.

Please consider that this article describes these corporations as "Woke" and also note, that while you were sleeping, their fellow travelers seized our once great representative republic in a massive vote fraud coup.
By its very nature, "wokeness" is against everything in our Constitution.
Combine these multi-billion/trillion dollar woke corporatists (our would-be rulers if they had their way), with our current crop of corrupt, morally bankrupt, politicians, and you end up with a situation where the Constitution of the United States of America is not the law of our land anymore.
How long do you think you will be "allowed" to keep what you have under our corrupt third world style government?
Have you taken into account that your presence here on FR is not pleasing to the woke CEO's of these companies that made you so much money?

Well, you might recall what happened in Canada, where those who protested their government, had their bank accounts seized. (Canada was formerly considered to be a free country.)
And in our own country, take a look the fact that we have actual political prisoners, who have been held in a horrible jail, under awful conditions, for over a year, without even being charged, because they protested the vote fraud coup January 6th.
(There is even video of a government police agent using a baton to beat an unarmed, unconscious woman, who died that day. The agent was not charged.)
Can you see, when taking these current events into account, where something as mild as being on FR might become a problem for you some day? Just saying.
And finally, you would do well to listen to the cries of those who came here to escape from tyrannical places, who are sounding the alarm, that what they are observing in this nation, is exactly what they saw their corrupt governments do to people in their home countries.
Given the above facts, I would not be so comfy-cozy if I were you.

Thanks for your concern. Believe me, I have taken every safeguard I can to protect myself financially. And I’ve never done anything to make myself a target of Mother Government. And, yes, I know we’re ALL targets when it comes down to it.
If it all goes to h#ll, we’ll ALL be in the same boat, but I am still miles ahead of others that do NOT have their financial houses in order, and that is the REAL crux of what I always try to get across, if you’ve read any of my comments on financial issues and prepping, etc.
