I’ve never live streamed anything. I just use my computer or PS4 for Netflix (not my account) or Amazon for movies.
I’m certainly not watching the fake BS of a LotR ripoff.
I’m not a big NFL fan but Mr. FF enjoys it. I’m much more of a college football fan. Still, I love the game, and it’s helpful if Bezos would do his due diligence.
We tried signing in via a different device. Got in, but the picture is still meh. I think that Bezos thinks this is “good. Marginally better. Maybe he’s really an actual moron. And this is my husband’s sweet spot, so I know it’s not on our end. Thanks for your help, though. I thought things might improve. Are you watching the game? Tampa is ahead of Baltimore 10-3 at home.
I actually quit watching the NFL when the kneeling started.
It doesn’t bother me at all that others watch.
I possess the natural drive to overdo anything and everything.
This causes me to have a “racing mind”, so I quit watching almost all tv and sports; I started doing meditation, more reading, and hiking.
It keeps me chill.
AWS has been making all the profit and extra monies for Amazon expansion for many years, at one time they had a fat 40% plus in Margins from AWS, increased competition is making a dent in this fat margins. You need to study their financials, Amazon pays no dividends and never has, they have consistently reinvested in the company, there are divisions, like fulfillment they lose money on, Amazon Prime for one.
I thought you still watch our beloved Gators? Maybe they are excluded in the “almost all” quit watching? You have to do what is right for you. I get that. More power to you.
And the kneeling. I stopped watching the pregame stuff, except that I LOVE flyovers! Have to watch those after the fact, when they happen. I am a sucker for jets. Surprisingly, I’ve never been to an airshow. Very off topic.
I shouldn’t complain about our stream tonight. At least it’s not pixilated anymore. It’s just that when you get a better picture, the old ways seem so bad. I have to pretend that this is a good picture. It used to be a good picture. But Bezos makes his bajillions so he doesn’t really care if the video isn’t all that great.
I will occasionally watch the Gators, two track & field Olympic events, an occasional F1 race, some of the World Cup, the CrossFit Games and World’s Strongest Man.
The last two if I remember they’re on.
I’ve been to numerous Air Shows, and they’re awesome.
They try to distract everyone in one direction, then bang, a low flyover from behind everyone to scare them...
We are pretty avid World Cup fans, especially Mr. FF and both of our sons. We are a soccer family. (Hubby played in HS and then coached our kids.) I watch and cheer for teams, but the boys keep up with the stats, teams, players, and coaches better than I do.
I should really go to an air show sometime. I have a few real life flyovers that I relish. One time, our youngest was at a soccer tournament on the outskirts of Dayton (Wright-Patterson AFB). Suddenly and without warning, there was a Stealth Bomber directly overhead. No early signals at all, and I’m used to hearing them. If we had been in a war zone, we all would’ve been dead. I’m not even kidding. Made me so proud to be an American. I bet that was 15 or 16 years ago.
The other times are when we go to the Panhandle for vacay. I swear I get a welcome from Eglin AFB every time we drive in. Not to mention the daily runs that we see over and over while we are enjoying the white sands of the Gulf. Can anything be bettter than white sands, turquoise water, and fighter jets practicing overhead? I think not. That’s pretty special.

I was stationed at Patrick AFB in Cocoa Beach FL.
That’s cool! I still have never been on an actual AFB, even though I have quite a fondness/massive respect for them. Maybe one day.
I had cousins in Cocoa Beach but not affiliated with any military or NASA there. My uncle taught French at the community college there and my aunt was a nurse. I am venturing to a few old (!) memories of mine with Cocoa Beach. For a short period of time, my family lived in Maitland. I was 6 through 8 there. So I’ve been to Cocoa Beach a handful of times, and other times they visited us, or we saw them at the family homestead in GVL. I bet my cousins remember the other places better than I remember their home.
Anyway, that’s cool. My daughter went to HS with a few guys who went to USAFA, and one of them is still SpecOps as far as I know. The other two have fulfilled their initial commitment, reupped for 5 more. I’m not sure if they’re still in, or have left at this point. They were all really smart, really great kids. I’m glad we got to know their families to even a small degree. Excellent people in every sense of the word.
