Their first album was IMO a masterpiece. After that, not so much.

Heart - Stairway to Heaven Led Zeppelin - Kennedy Center Honors HD

Jason Bonham takes the place of his dad on drums in this live performance honoring the band. He and Heart and everyone else involved performed it flawlessly. I can't imagine the relief he felt once the song was over.

(Warning: Try to ignore the Obamas)

The Honeydrippers “Rockin’ At Midnight”

They played it to death on MTV, back in the day, but I still kinda liked "Sea of Love" by the Honeydrippers.

What's your favorite Led Zeppelin song?

Impossible to have a favorite for me - I spent too much of my pre-teen years listening to every one of their albums and there aren't that many bad songs in LZ's catalog. Last one I put on repeat was "Out On The Tiles" - my kids would say that one's a banger. Well, OK - maybe they wouldn't say it - but I would.

Saw them 2 or 3 times way back when. Everyone I knew had the 1st 4 albums. It’s hard to pick one favorite song.
I guess even though Stairway has been played to death, it’s still a standout for composition, though not one I want to listen to often anymore.

Their first album, indeed. Of course it could have something to do with being a senior in high school.

I really liked the collaboration of Plant and Allison Krauss on “Rich Woman.” "Rich Woman" released October 23, 2007. "Rich Woman" is a song written by Dorothy LaBostrie and McKinley "Li'l" Millet, who recorded it in 1955, and was most notably recorded by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss on their 2007 album “Raising Sand.”
