My original post concerned Joe Biden becoming incoherent when repeating the lie that Trump doesn’t respect our troops. This off set off the trumpboys who relish the man’s nasty side.
Thanks for bringing in some balance. Trump has to have some strong points to have made a fortune in business, be the author (even if a ghost writer was involved) of the greatest book about business and many other New York Times best sellers, for being such a success in television and in pageantry, and for being elected President of the United States. Few people have success at such a high level, and very few at multiple levels.
I think it was the cancer. At least this is what I tell myself.
I hate to think McCain withheld the vote that would’ve ended Obamacare just to get back at Trump.
We put a lot into this effort. Paul Ryan knew it was going to come down to a reconciliation vote, and we needed 50 ayes in the Senate along with Pence’ tie-breaking vote.
And, what did McCain do? He voted nay and then called for regular order.
How many millions of Americans have had no health insurance at all, since they can’t afford the premiums or the out of pocket for bronze plans? (I’ll answer the question, about 30 million.)
And, who are these Americans? They’re the lower middle class, who are caught in the middle. They can’t afford what those better off can afford, and the don’t get for free what those worse off are given.
When you think of it, McCain in getting back at Trump, if that’s what McCain was doing, what he did was hurt Trump’s most fervent supporters.
Oh, while I personally did not serve, my father's family all the way back to George Washington served.. my father was in Korea.. was there until the return of the colors in NYC. His brother, went in at Normandy, took shrapnel to the head, was found by the body patrol, because he had his thumb wiggling in the air.. he got a metal plate put in to keep his brains from seeping out, and was sent on to the battle of the bulge..

As for Meatball DeSantis, Meatball bowed to his masters and attacked Trump after Trump saved him from losing to a crack-smoking degenerate. Trump saved him, not the RNC, not Christie, not any other Republicrat. Meatball is a nice term to call DeSantis after that backstabbing.
This is the same Meatball who pulled a Swamp stunt and had Florida law changed so that he could lie to people, and take donations for his gubernatorial campain and use them for his Presidential run.

Crenshaw decided to use his SEAL mystic to run for political office, what he did in the service does not mean squat when you become a politician. Crenshaw has an impressive rack, other than the Bronze Star with a V and his Purple Heart, both impressive awards, his awards are all pretty standard awards for a SEAL and an Navy Officer. McCain earned his awards but he abandoned veterans and if you were receiving money from the VA or retirement you would know what I am talking about. Had the Senate followed through on his recommendation illegal aliens would be getting more from Uncle Sam than veterans. McCain was known for being the kind of officer who would not give a reach around. He could have had a MOH and he still would have been a POS. Medals don't make the man.
As for Carnegie, well I do my own thinking thank you. And if he is the one that said DeSantis was a SEAL he is not worth paying attention to.

I’ve know a few of these fellows. If I had to choose between (a) them being pieces of shit and (b) trumpboys being full of bull, well, let’s just say I think we’d make different choices.

Trump can’t say I nominated losers because I couldn’t get trumpboys through the Senate. By reason of the U.S. Constitution, he has to work with those guys. And, on budget matters, he has to work with both the House and the Senate. Trump can’t say, like you said, screw everybody else.
Besides, Trump didn’t have any more success in naming people to his staff as he did in his cabinet nominations.
On the other hand, Trump had a lot of success in his judicial nominations.
Donald Trump had no choice but to pick from that list.

Wasn’t it a nightmare back in 2016, after Trump won and then you realized his victory was limited. He had to work with the Senate to get nominations through; and, he had to work with the House as well as the Senate to get the budget through. Well, I’ve got news for you, if Trump wins this fall, the nightmare returns.
