Who's to say that those six people are reliable, or are just feeding NBC disinformation?
On the other hand, if these are fringe Republican "insiders" feeding NBC stories designed to discredit them, why create a fake news piece that might also enrage Trump's base supporters? If this was intended to be the campaign floating a trial balloon, why do it with leaks to NBC? Why not have President Trump drop some more names in a friendly interview and see how it resonates with his base?
My guess is that these six people are either fictitious or are people who don't know anything but are ingratiating themselves with NBC reporters.

If Trump does that then I will have almost no confidence in him anymore. How could he put Rino’s in power after he saw first hand where that leads to. Rubio is deep state, and Trump is supposed to be shutting down the deep state. Mark my words that Trump will lose a lot of votes if he does something like this. It will be stab to the heart.

It’s aimed at the Latin vote, not just the US Latin American voters. Melei’s election is the primer. El Salvador is dealing with the gang bangers. Cuba is ready to fall-read it somewhere just yesterday. They need someone to light the match and Rubio could be the disturber of the excrement down there. Trump could rehabilitate him after his exposure as a deep stater. He could disturb the excrement in Venezuela. Europe is too far gone and South America is the future.
