Most people have no idea how destructive and costly hail can be. Farmers that live areas prone to hail storms well appreciate the devastation that can be wrought by even small hail. Many huge solar farms are located in zones where sunlight exposure is maximized; however, the same areas are also subject to thunderstorms in the spring and summer which can produce large hail.
