Many of the Kazakhs (Kazakhstan) have light brown hair and green eyes. I've never heard them called the descendants of the Amazons.

I have heard that the Amazons were supposed to have lived in the southern Russian region now known as "the Kuban." Also, the golden fleece was said to be from what is now the republic of Georgia.

And of course the myth of Amazon warrior women which turns out to be not really a myth at all.

Yep. You can just tell by looking at her that she's a warrior .

It is quite fascinating. It is said the Scythians and Sarmatians descended from them.

The ancient Celts had a long history of Women Warriors. Accounts from both the Greeks and Romans mention that if the battle were going against the Celts women would take up arms and fight more ferociously than the men – shaming them into greater deeds of valor. Women were also famous as combat instructors – as the woman (Scathach) who taught Cu Chulainn, and of course Queen Boudicca.
