Did the eskimo hunt them?

No. Only straight, white men can eliminate entire species.

Humans arrived in North America 13,500 years ago or earlier.

The Eskimo didn't spread across the arctic until about a 1,000 years ago.

"Only straight, white men can eliminate entire species."

Really? I always heard that it was a now-vanished race of homosexual men that drove the foo-foo bird to extinction.

The foo-foo was a flightless bird that had pink and lime-green plumage, and an odd walk that caused its tail to swing from side to side. Reportedly, its eggs bore a strong resemblance to large rhinestones.

I didn't realize it was that recent.
