How dense is the meteorite? It looks very small to weigh 1000 lbs. They are mostly composed of iron and they are very dense --- and heavy too. ;~))

How dense is the meteorite? It looks very small to weigh 1000 lbs. It's a pallasite made of iron, nickel and olivine crystals. Lift it -- go ahead, I dare ya!

I’ve got a small meteorite that fits into a large size coffee cup. It’s solid iron, and if it was dropped from waist height onto your bare foot it would mean a trip to the doctor.

That subject is too deep to discuss here.

I think the worlds largest hand-dug well is nearby as well, maybe in Pratt. It's on the same site as the meteorite.
The Bigwell Museum housed both.
Or, well, it used to...

No, the largest hand dug well, is/was in Greensburg. Out in Kansas, things are pretty dull when a town's claim to fame is a hole in the ground. I expect the well survived, although it probably has a lot of trash in the bottom now. I've been there and it is an impressive hole, considering it was dug by hand and then lined with brick. Those pioneers were tough.
