2012? The time will come and pass and life will go on. And commentators will smile and smirk, and, very quickly, we will all forget how stupid those predictions (and those people) were. Let’s face it, if they were so smart, why didn’t they save themselves?

Oh, please enough of this nonsense. Its like an odometer change, nothing more.
Please the article on the Mayan Calendar In particular, look at the section:Does the Mayan calendar actually end in 2012?

While we are enlightened and supposedly don't take these things as omens anymore, we have to recognize that others do and we have to adjust our foreign policy to thatI think of that whenever I look up and see a crescent moon.

The highly intelligent Ancient Mayan civilization developed an intricate calendar which anticipated the end of their Great Cycle of the Long Count-better known as the apocalypse-on Dec. 21, 2012. Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
The phase-out of incandescent light is to begin with the 100-watt bulb in 2012 and end in 2014 with the 40-watt.
Congress bans incandescent bulbs

Interesting that the date would be about a month after the 2012 Presidential election.
You don’t suppose that Queen (er, President) Hilliary, after taking a Carter-style whuppin, would do something foolish in the final days of her reign of error (sorry, term of office), do ya?

Like the comment, but why did you name your daughter after the First Lady?

(Hey, it’s as good as when Hilliary claimed she was named after Sir Edmund!)
