Philly needs to win this game badly. There is no home field advantage for them with Moyer pitching. Blanton pitches down in the zone though which is a good defense against Upton, Langora and Pena.

Good game last night, IMO. I’m a Rays’ fan, but still thought it was a good game. Our guys choked a little, but they did that against the Red Sox too in a couple games. We’ll see if they can loosen up tonight. It looks like rain here, but since it’s inside, no worries. I did hear they were going to let the fans bring umbrellas into the stadium because they might need them to get back to their cars.

You never know which Moyer is going to show up. A lot of the kids on Tampa have never seen him before and they are a fastball hitting team.
He's got a shot if the Phillies can start hitting with runners on base and give him some support. He was 16-7 this season (N.L. top 7 in both wins and winning percentage)... He did look terrible vs. the Dodgers.
He's also gunning to become the oldest left-hander to win a World Series game. As a rather old guy myself, I hope he does.

Well good luck with your wish list - I also have a college team in contention for a BCS bowl - sure we have 4 ranked teams to play in the next four weeks, but a girl can dream can’t she???

bkmark. ping for the rest of the games thx

I hear you.
I hate to watch him. I can't believe a guy who is 45 and throws the ball 75 MPH can win 16 games. He just keeps doing it.
There's no margin for error though (as we saw in his last outing).
