Cusack is great in the movies where he’s the snarky, introspective hero that might get the girl, might not get the girl, life goes on. Problem is, he’s typecast by the same character he played in every movie in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s.

He was very good in The Grifters
Saw that in 1991 when first came out
Was very impressed by the lovely Annette Benning ...and Cusack
