Their results provide no evidence for continental-scale fires, but support the fact that the increase in large-scale wildfires in all regions of the world during the past decade is related to an increase in global warming.IOW, BS.

Global warming thousand of years ago is obviously not “antropogenic”.
Global temperatures are not constant. There have been ice ages and hot ages.
What we do not know is...
If the earth is, overall, cooling or heating up. (ground based says heating up, atmospheric based says cooling down)
If heating is even a bad thing, as the Medieval warm period was good times and good wines all around.
To what (if any) extent human activity is accelerating or slowing this process of global warming or cooling.
"In July, a post was made to numerous jihadist boards and then spread to a number of blogs citing a previously issued fatwa authorizing the setting of forest fires as a weapon of jihad. The post began "this is an invitation to the Muslims of Europe and America, Australia and Russia to burn forests." It went on to state the justification under Islamic Sharia law for this action and to cite its benefits for jihadists."
Several fires are no more than a 10-minute drive from the city's central business district...
How did they get from 12,900 years ago to current wildfires and global bull.

They detect fires during the last decade caused by global warming in the previous decade. But cannot detect fires caused by the major warming event of the ending of an ice age?
They also do not explain the onset of the Younger Dryas.

(May 23, 2007) Scientist are proposing a startling new theory: that an extraterrestrial impact, possibly a comet, set off a 1,000-year-long cold spell and wiped out or fragmented a wide variety of animal genera, ... > read more”.
On the same page. The comet hit, it didn’t, the comet.....?

The old scientific saying “absence of evidence is not evidence of absence” comes to mind.
:’) This new “study” is just concocted from beginning to end. The Clovis culture ended under a mat of material filled with tiny particles from space which were not found above or below.
here’s another example of bogus results:
Human populations are tightly interwoven

This book I read, by TWO British scientists, gives several thousand footnoted reasons why there was a comet, or celestrial body impact at that time:
