Well, it would be inconvenient but not a catastrophe. Our grandparents who survived severe winters in sod huts in Minnesota would hardly blink given the advantages of dry, well-insulated TB-free homes they would have today. Drinking water would not disappear, for anyone with a pond or swimming pool or well with an "Armstrong" pump. Crops would not stop growing; When the winter comes, coal (and wood for us primitives) will still burn just fine. Back to basics with the advantages of modern medicine and dentistry. It might end up being a blessing in disguise.
