Double explosions far more significant than sonic booms or local military exercises (trust me, I know what those sound like). Not a word. Local law enforcement developed a speech impediment: Ah, Uh, Well, Uh... Testing special armaments for use on Iran's underground nuclear bunkers, I deem.
Cheers!

How often does this scenario happen:
Tapeworm to gays’ penis: “Hey I was here first buddy!”
Probably quite often.

I'm waiting for the US to create a subduction zone in the upper mantle, right under Tehran.
Then Beijing.
Then Moscow and San Francisco /sarc>
Cheers!

Answer to the loud rolling booming noise
Marine Cobra helicopter crash kills two
The helicopter, from the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing based at Miramar Marine Corps Air Station, went down about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday night, said Marine Maj. Jay de la Rosa. The squadron was training with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit out of Camp Pendleton and is scheduled to deploy this fall to the Western Pacific.
It had ammo onboard.
Probably one of the largest crash sounds I heard was in 1978 here in San Diego when 2 1/2 miles E. from me an airliner
with over 140 onboard crashed into a neighborhood.
It sounded and felt like a huge bomb went off.

How sad. However the report doesn’t fit the time of the boom. I heard it at approx 7:45-7:50 pm pacific time. Even if this was a report coming out of the pentagon and they forgot to correct for the time zone, they would have said the crash happened at 10:45. Hmmmmmm

Two unforgetable "booms" occur regularly on the Autobahn near Wurzburg Germany. They usually happen at night and almost invariably involve a Volkswagen (or similar small vehicle) pulling over in front of a large Mercedes Benz.
Then there are the crashes over on I95. When a vehicle hits a restraining wall under a bridge they are particularly loud.

Just happened at 7:49pm pacific. Much louder and longer noise than the regular bombing practice we hear from PendletonLate 70s in the San Diego area, we heard the booms, loud enough where people ran from their homes looking up...I recall once, all the neighbors ran out front, and I met a Naval aviator who said he never heard any aircraft sonic boom that loud.
