"Tide gauge records are largely inadequate for accurately recognizing the onset of any acceleration of relative sea-level rise occurring before the 18th century I thought the issue was what was happening now. How are tide guages for that? (Hint here.)

3 mm, wow, pretty steep for an area that get 6-8 ft tides twice a day!

I would think it would just kinda spill over into VA and SCs part of the ocean. Nope, doesn't work that way.
I'm thankful the rise only happened in North Carolina - and not further south in Florida where I live. Our water level is the same as always... /s
