I’m not a beer drinker so am not up on the names. I did buy a few neat gifts for my son and son in laws. It’s a 12 pack of all different kinds of unusual beers in a wooden holder with a handle. Well made and neat looking.

Piper wants out....

There was a day, not that many years ago, when this incident would have bothered me on a deeply visceral level.

Now, after 8 or 9 years of sobriety (not that anyone close to me really noticed) it only makes me wince a little.

(I was planning to have a Guinness on some future occasion, when I had something really big to celebrate, like the restoration of the Republic.)

Coors wasn’t pasteurized. Had to be shipped by refrigerated truck. Furthest South in Texas it was distributed was Marble Falls.

Yup.
That’s it.

At that time, way back there and then, a Rolling Rock was near as good...

“Oh they Humanity!

(Is that burning bitumen or Guiness Extra Stout?)”

No, it’s a Flaming Moe.

When the weight of the world has got you down
And you want to end your life,
Bills to pay, a dead-end job,
And problems with the wife.

But don’t throw in the tow’l,
‘Cuz there’s a place right down the block...
Where you can drink your misery away...

At Flaming Moe’s.... (Let’s all go to Flaming Moe’s... Let’s all go to Flaming Moe’s...)
When liquor in a mug (Let’s all go to Flaming Moe’s... Let’s all go to Flaming Moe’s...)
Can warm you like a hug. (Flaming Moe’s...)
And happiness is just a Flaming Moe away...
Happiness is just a Flaming Moe away...

Reminds of when he drowned in a vat @ the Guinness factory. When they told the wife she asked if he went fast, they said no he got out twice to pee.

Stay away from the Lucas refrigerators to be sure.
