I found articles on home banking using an Atari computer, and new CD players with prices starting at $800.

This could be addictive. I remember when I thought I was a Big SD with my 10 meg Double bernoulli box. Like a $1,000. But, Babiieeeeee, puhleeeeese, I will never run out of drive space. 20 meg in the Tandy 1000TX plus switchable 10 meg bernoulli cartridges.....baby, puleeeeeze.

parsy, who could kick himself

I still love looking at the ads, just as I did when I was a kid... Lee Enfield rifles, M1 Garands, etc., in good condition, $19.99, shipped parcel post in a cardboard box. The old magazines and comic books were full of such ads, and there was no BATF to ride roughshod all over the Constitution. Too bad I couldn’t have loaded up back then.

I used to subscribe to Discover. It was a great publication...until Bob Guccioni’s(sp) son took it over. Then it was nothing but bash Bush. Dropped it immediately.

Asshat. I wouldn’t have cared who owned it, and its not that they had to support Bush. I would still be subscribed today if their content was politically neutral/absent and they had stuck to science.

For an interesting perspective juxtapose an archive search for global+warming with a search for global+cooling.

Well, it's Aswan High Dam time they did this. Of course, the magazine has been shilling for Al Gore, the so-called Democratic Party, and other left-wing nonsense, for quite some time. They haven't had an all-Noam-Chomsky issue that I saw, but I may have missed one. Thanks Dallas59.
