King Tut artifacts are on view in Times Square, but an Egyptian scholar would rather see them at the Met. (DNAinfo/Tara Kyle)

"This priceless artifact should be at the Met, not at this hole," Hawass said.Speaking of holes...

He insists on being on EVERY history channel show about Egypt. What a TV hog.

He’s very, very educated in history and antiquities.
His people skills, on the other hand...
Is it any wonder the Romans decided to kick the Egyptians in the Tuts?

"answer the question. Why is King Tut not at the Met?" Why didn't he try out for American Idol?

He could have won a Grammy.

My problem with him is the fact that he’s had firm control of Egyptian sites for far too long and that gives him firm control over the writing of Egyptian history

Is it art or history?
While it was a “folk” art of sorts, it is a historical artifact. The Who and When outway the craft of the work.

He could have won a Grammy. Barack Vanilli did, it could happen.

I saw the King Tut exhibition when it was

Here's an article about that tour back then ...

Lots of people are saying he is impeding if not totally preventing some of the newer non-destructive investigation technologies from being used.
Last I heard, they are actually pretty convinced now that there are some structures/tunnels under the paws of the Sphinx, just like Cayce said.
And in fact the whole Giza plateau is swiss-cheese riddled with tunnels and chambers.
