My Shih Tzu ate a moth ball when she was 8. She really should have known better. I would go into my bedroom and notice the little chenille balls missing from the bottom of the bedspread. She would eat a couple a day. Lived until 16 though.

Someone had a story about a dog that ate golf balls. He didn’t notice anything wrong with the dog, but that he was “laying around” all the time.

And mine ate my digital hearing aid. Almost 3G to replace it.

I would follow him everywhere with a plastic glove on!

I had a cat that ate two paper clips, she vomited them back up but not before they caused her major internal trouble and me $700.

Our elderly black lab ate a five pound German Chocolate Cake a few years ago. In a matter of mere minutes. She didn’t die, but she wouldn’t eat dinner for a couple of nights.

My 2 y.o. Rat Terrier stole my purse from my house a month ago. She hid it under a deck where she hides her toys. It was soaking wet when we found it, but luckily she didn’t have it long enough to use my credit cards on-line to order doggy toys. Ratties are smart enough to almost do that kind of thing.

The aging Golden eats paper, any kind of paper. He also eats other animals’ excrement and anything else he can find on the planet.

Of course, all three eat any rodent that they happen to catch, which is pretty cool if you thousands of gophers on the property. The Rattie is the best hunter of them all.

My pup ate a pair of diamond earrings. That was “fun” retrieving them. She also has a thing for business cards.

I had a beagle who would hop on top of the dining room table and consume anything in the way of food he found there. He would frequently sleep on top of the table when the family was out. He got into the garbage one night and ate a bunch of chicken bones that perforated his stomach. He was treated at the animal hospital in New York City, but he died.

One of my cats likes to chew on synthetic materials, like rayon, etc. I have a curtain at the entry to my kitchen made with a gauzy fabric. He has chewed the edges to shreds.

OTOH, he never chews on fabrics made with natural fibers like cotton or silk. Makes me wonder if he just uses that stuff to "brush" his teeth. LOL!

I know a dog who ate an entire package of block yeast.
Guess who had to stay outside for an entire week.

My dog once ate the entire shower curtain. They had to cut her open and remove it in strips.

My dog eats cash, and he doesn’t mind having to empty a wallet in order to get it.

He used to snatch the kids allowances right from their hands as they walked by him on the way to putting it away. The kids learned quickly to obey my warnings.

This is no lie: my friend’s dog would dig her dirty panties out of the laundry and eat them. I know right?
