When opsys was up and running, I was so happy I just said “whew”
More than once, I had to toggle back through each of the bootstrap instructions to determine into which of those little buggers I had toggled a bad bit!
Puters were not “HAL” in those days - and I am certainly no “Dave”!

A gamma burster is a star which when it goes nova showers gamma rays out light years sterilizing any life. One is either just blow but we have not seen it blow (due to distance) or will shortly blow — it is about 1500 LY from us. Is a thread here some where about this. If the gamma rays reach this far we are toast... literally... plus if gamma is of sufficient intensity, it could vaporize all star systems within its path...
