If anyone has any theories that could help explain the phenomenon, then please share them with me and I will add them to my list.. The Al-hasa Oasis of eastern Saudi Arabia is very large, and I'm guessing that what's being shown is sandy water, not sand. When the hydraulic head of confined groundwater is greater than the ground surface elevation, you get flowing-artesian conditions.
Or, a spice blow.

Or a broken pipeline would also explain if Aramco didn’t release info.

It couldn't have been a broken oil pipeline because the sand would obviously have been black. Now the water idea has been bantered about, but we are talking about a lot of water, more then is usually in a water main.
I like the idea I heard that suggested that Al Hasa is in the eastern Provence and has a large gas gathering capability. Also, the Saudi Arabian oil industry practices CO2 gas reinjection in order to maintain reservoir integrity. If the driver gas is analyzed, they may find out that it is mere CO2. The geyser could very well result from air (CO2?) being expelled from one of the pressurized fields.
It is quite a debatable subject you must admit.
