Well, good! I'd hate to think I didn't make an impact!

Hitler said that big lies never totally die or get killed off, i.e. that some part of them remain even after they’ve been as thoroughly debunked as humans can manage. That’s all that’s left of AGW at this juncture.

By studying rock sediments from millions of years ago geologists have been able to model how increases in greenhouse gases led to temperature change and extinction of species.

Ayup. and not an SUV to be around for millions of years, either.

100,000 years. Nah, something big like a supervolcano or an asteroid strike will change things long before that.

Here are some contradictory thoughts and ideas. There could be some warming occurring. There does seem to be serious melting in Greenland. On the other hand if it is getting warmer in Antarctica, then the reported increases in snow which occurs more in warmer conditions than in extremely cold ones could in fact be taking more rain water out of the atmosphere than is melting into the oceans. Thus perhaps no significant change in sea levels.

If there is more melting in the Arctic, then there could be a decrease in the salinity of the water which normally sinks to the bottom and causes the southward movement of North Atlantic Deep Water (NADW) and comes back north as the Gulf Stream. Failure of the NADW could bring colder weather to Europe and North America. We still have so much to learn, and it certainly is very complicated and sometimes contradictory.

Far more eloquent than my blurb. Correct. PPM trace gasses destroy fundamental thermodynamics, from what I’ve read...
