I've been a BAMA fan ever since shaking hands with the Bear in Birmingham airport in the late '60s at the ripe old age of 4. However, I don't hate Auburn like most of the Tide faithful. (I save that distinction for Georgia, of course). I was living in Auburn back in '83 when they got robbed of the National Championship. (It was also the same year they legalized keg beer in Lee County). And two other times they have gone undefeated only to see the title given to someone else. So hopefully, Auburn will finally bring that title home this season. This TIDE fan wishes you a sincere "WAR DAMN EAGLE"!

In the upper right corner is a photo of a game there and in the bottom left corner is a photo of the Choir. It is a double sided record. Oh, on the back is a photo of the band at Disney World. I think it is Disney World.
“The Hat” would cheat too, but he can’t figure it out.... or game clock either.
I love Bama fans like you Hoodat. You are a true sportsman.
My next door neighbor is like you. He went to Bama and had an affiliation with the football program.
In 2004, they sent us orange and blue cupcakes to congratulate us on our undefeated season.
Last year, we reciprocated when they returned from the watching the game in AZ.
He left a message on my answering machine thanking us, by saying Roll Tide AND War Eagle.
This game is set to be a great match...the top defense against the top offense.
Thank you again for your good sportsmanship.
Does anyone know how you can get a Tshirt printed? We have a doozy that has only been shared with family members and think it has potential to be a classic.
Thank you for your support.
I don’t know exactly but my niece or nephew probably know. Give me a couple of hours and I’ll get back to you.
I thought it was me until you mentioned Disney World. Nope, not me. That happened after 1976.
My grandfather was Comptroller of Auburn from 1928-1932. My 2 uncles graduated from Auburn. My Mama and Daddy graduated from Auburn [1944 and 1952 in that order]. My Daddy was in the Army, housed at “Auburn Hall.” Mama lived there with her parents. She Baptist and he Lutheran, they met at a dance at the Episcopal Church and were married in Buffalo, NY [his hometown], in January 1944. I was born 180 days later.
I attended Auburn in 1963-64 and lived in Auburn Hall. My daughter attended Troy State, transferred to Auburn in 1990 and graduated in 1992. She married an Auburn student in 1992; he graduated 1997. They live in “L-A” as Lower Alabama is affectionately known where he teaches High School history.
My son opted out of College but is an ardent Auburn fan. He lives in middle Tennessee and his son attends MTSU.
Auburn is an integral part of my family and our personalities.

I have to head downstairs now and will check back later. Still no wireless in the house. :-(
Mr. del did check with his IT guys about the wireless router. They said to get a new one and start from scratch, and since the old one was involved with the lightning strike, we might as well toss it rather than trouble shoot it.
Which means that you and I are related. Our story is similar except that you go back one generation further. My FIL graduated in ‘51 and that side of the family all have roots in and around Lee and Chambers Counties.
Understanding is part of the entrance exam. If you have to ask, you don’t deserve to know.
War Eagle!!!!!
Welcome to this thread! War Eagle!
Your story is like many I’ve heard. It is family. I thought it was really cool when my daughter and niece joined the band, made friends and discovered their friends were the children of hubby and my friends.
It’s an Auburn World!
As for South Carolina, the classless antics of their fans replicate that of their coach. Spurrier-coached teams have always been rude, and South Carolina is no exception. And since Spurrier left Florida, Florida fans have actually become nicer. As for Georgia fans, I have no explanation. It may be hereditary. And LSU fans? It is simply a part of life. But they don't discriminate. LSU hates EVERYBODY.
Auburn is all about Family. Nice to meet you!
[Sorry that posted twice and don’t understand why, but . . . it’s a War Eagle Game Day, so anything can happen.]
The best team that money can buy! Scam Newton is another Reggie Bush and O.J. Simpson.
Go Cocks!!!
Aaahhhhhh the Bama-Trolls and their fellow loud mouth fans . . . they always help me remember why I became an Auburn fan in the first place . . . most of them forgot what the demigod Bear Bryant taught his teams about CLASS!!!!!!
