As long as they are considered gifts, the tax will be assessed on Sheen, not the recipients.

There's a $13,000 exclusion each year, but everything after that is an additional tax on the giver. However, there is a "unified gift tax credit" that may be available, if it hasn't already been exhausted. I will publicly admit it..I watch the show...sometimes it’s hysterically funny, and the writing is first rate...and yes, it is often raunchy and gross. But what I wanted to say was in watching recvent episodes, taped after Sheen came back from his firstm though abbreviated hiatus and rehab, he looked like he’d age 10 years...and what I don’t understand, is...where’s his faher..the TPOTUS..Television POTUS....you think he’d be able to help his son..if anyone could..
