= sigh = I have read dozens of these dire warnings from some Russian 'ministry'. They all start with this same line.
I was hopin’ I could gets me one of them free gift cards. I need a new purse. LOL
After this last week, I have come to the conclusion that there is no need to panic. No matter what, the forces of nature are something we have no control over.
The only thing that could overflow much here would be the White River. LOL
I was blown away by that footage of the tsunami leveling that whole town. The cries of those people above the town was so sad. I just can’t imagine how horrible that was for them.

” I’m not sure who all is familiar with the New Madrid fault,..”
Military engineering friends are already tasked with
responding to a New Madrid earthquake .
Not anything new, the New Madrid fault and other potential disasters have been part of their preparedness training for years.
But, it’s something engineers and geologists take seriously.
NatGeo or Discovery had a special on the New Madrid awhile back.
The geographical evidence still exists .
The church bells ringing in New York and Boston during the quake , as well as the written stories from the local residents at the time ,
was a fascinating anecdotal detail.
I’ve never asked my buddies about Yellowstone’s seismic activity and the potential for a super volcanic eruption ,
maybe that situation would be so catastrophic that preparations would be pointless.
Was wondering if the Great Lakes would get sloshed out of their bowls during an earthquake...mini Tsunamis? Earthquakes would take out a few lochs, some dams, and turn Niagara Falls into what?
(only recently learned that Lake Michigan gets icebergs, so those huge bodies of water have gotten my attention)
Just following the Nostradamus model. Let things happen, then try to fit it to predictions.....
If most people were aware of the amount of RF floating around them they'd be hiding under their beds....
“I cant keep my soup hot for more than a couple of hours in a thermos that some genius designed. This planet that is billions and billions of years old still keeps spouting red hot lava and readjusting its girdle. What gives?”
In part - Tidal forces.
Obamalamadingdong isn't the only one who thrives on chaos.....
The lack of rock, compared to California, is supposed to make a quake in this region much more severe and widespread in its effects than a similar intensity quake in California.
In the last three months there have been major geological events in China, NZ, Indonesia, Hawaii, and now Japan. There have been weird fishkills and bird kills, here and abroad, though I have no idea if/how that’s connected.
All I’m saying by ANY of this is how has the West Coast of the US come out of all this Ring of Fire geologic activity unscathed?
I’m not positing anything, but I drilled my family on our earthquake disaster prep and procedures this weekend.
Read Matthew Bracken’s latest book on what will happen to Memphis.
Very interesting.
This thread is . . . well off and running on such topics . . .

A LOT OF HEAVY DUTY PEOPLE AND ORGS are VERY keenly alert on all this . . . and some have been for a good long time.
Yet, MANY ARE AT A GREATLY HEIGHTENED ALERT FOR THIS TIME PERIOD.
WHAT DO THEY KNOW THAT WE DON'T?

Well I am in one of the outer rings.. we know there is a fault in our area
I have carried earthquake insurance for a very long time now..
It has low cost if you are not in California ...
Just saying
