Tenacious lot, those climate changers. They’re driven to reduce the world’s population by about 6.5 billion.

Back in 2005, our “buddy” Big Al said by 2009 the Arctic would be Ice Free. Hey, Big Al, how did that work out? Big Al may I make a suggestion? Stop going to the Arctic. It seems that no matter where you go you bring cold weather. It’s sort of like having a black cloud hanging over your head.

The earth's temperature was raised five to nine degrees Fahrenheit merely by the absence of year-round Arctic ice, according to Tripani.

That doesn't pass the sniff test.

How far have the continents drifted in the 4 million years since those mollusks died?

Anybody want to bet that they didn't live anywhere near the arctic?

Thanks PROCON. It's pretty impressive for something that doesn't exist.

This is a revival of a 1990s lie by the global warming demagogues -- one of the shills in the New York Slimes quoted unnamed real live scientists as having exclaimed that they'd seen open water during the (24 hours a day sunshine) summer at the North Pole, and that it was the first time in 30 million years.

David Letterman harped on this every night in his monologue, until Friday, when the paper printed a clarification (retraction), pointing out that the North Pole gets more sunlight than the equator at that time of the year, and that the ice had melted every single year with a recorded human visit.

Then the Slimes reprinted the earlier BS story in a Sunday supplement.

....were based on analysis of the fossilized remains of four-million-year-old mollusks, they said.

Casting the bones. So now we can determine that an ice free Summer Arctic is a natural event. What else might have been different four million years ago?

18 to 28 degress fahrenheit warmer??? And the planet wasn’t destroyed? I don’t think the warmists realize what they are telling people. For the last thirty years we have been told that warmer temps will kill the planet. Now they are saying the arctic was quite a bit warmer in the past at various times than now. But the planet is still here. What gives warmists?

Earth Day (April 22, 1970)

Let’s offer a minute of silence in celebration of all the whacko predictions made by Earth Day environmentalists in 1970, the year the event was founded:

A new Ice Age (Newsweek); I remember the cover of the magazine and the articles proclaiming the “scientific fact” that we were entering a precipitous period of “Global Cooling.”

A world “eleven degrees colder by the year 2000” (Kenneth Watt)

By 1985 air pollution would reduce the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half!! (Life magazine)

By 1995 between 75 and 85 percent of all species would be extinct!!! (Earth Day Founder Gaylord Nelson)

Impending mass starvation! (Earth Day Organizer Denis Hayes)

You’ve just gotta say: “Thank you, thank you, Earth Day! If those 20 million hippies hadn’t taken the day off work, we’d all be dead by now!”
