This image of the ancient buried landscape discovered deep beneath the sediment of the North Atlantic Ocean was made using sound waves bounced off different rock layers. An ancient meandering riverbed is visible. [CREDIT: R A Hartley et al.]

2.5 million years?Isn't that about how far we are into this thing Obama has going?
And if you want to see Atlantis, just look around. Devastated and sinking...

A rhetorical question - I wonder if Atlantis was a part of human civilization before the Biblical Flood ?
To: SunkenCiv
The Chinese coast across from Taiwan is like that. The estuary zone there has gone up and down over the last few thousand years SEVERAL TIMES.
The theory there is that the Polynesian people were "invented here" and spread out to the South and North about 3000 to 5000 years ago.
Although they know the area does this (like that area off Scotland) they haven't yet figured out why.
It's probably easier to study that part of China than the area described in this article.

I think the only Atlantis that has ever exsisted is the Atlatis resort, currently open for business in the Bahamas.

The burning scientific question, according to White, is what made this landscape rise up, then subside within 2.5 million years?
What is "Global Warming" Alex.
To: SunkenCiv
Atlantis was found long ago. It’s in South America by Lake Titicaca.

Might have happened at the same time as the Broch Of Guerness partly slid into the sea...
Similar, Aran Islands...
Snapped off and fell into the ocean...
