I can’t check it. My kid broke the clay tablet throwing it for the dog to chase.

But it was delivered just last week by the tablet boy.

;’) Probably those big-screens are responsible for the sealevel rise that drowned the city in the first place. ;’)

2000 BC would have been pre-Myceanaen and contemporaneous with the earliest Minoan, no? Wonder if they were Greek or Minoan?

Pretty cool project.

Only thing is, as a carpenter’s daughter, I want to know how that one & only gabled-roof building with what look like awning windows sneaked in there.

Building code violation? Or artistic license??

2000 BC, probably flat roofed, or shed roofed, but that’s usually impossible to determine, as roof parts tend to have been of lighter materials that haven’t survived. Sometimes this is due to fire when a town is sacked and burned. :’)

Dang, that’s a good one. Unless an archive (or monumental inscription) is found, it’s probably not going to yield to scrutiny. The Mycenaeans of that time appear to have learned most of their building styles and techniques from the Minoans. Later the Mycenaeans came up with the mighty corbelled dome (the so-called Treasury of Atreus being the best-known example).

My Greek Odyssey is centred around the charismatic and larger-than-life character of Peter Maneas. His story is a rags to riches tale, having been born to Greek migrants that settled in Australia over 50 years ago with nothing but their suitcases. From these humble beginnings, Peter has built himself a highly successful business and is now the proud owner of a superyacht called “Mia Zoi” (One Life). Peter’s philosophy is ‘We only live once, so get the most out of your life, no matter what!’ His passion for adventure and excitement is matched by the desire he has to share his experiences with others, from family and friends, to the viewing audience.

In this exciting program Peter will cruise in his yacht throughout the Greek Islands, focusing on places that rarely get a mention in mainstream media and exploring the rich history, culture, cuisine and unique people he meets along the way. My Greek Odyssey will entertain, educate and inspire viewers to make the Greek Islands their next holiday destination!

Series one takes us on an exploration of the Saronic and Ionian Islands, including Hydra, Spetses, Corfu, Zakynthos and Kythira.
