And so tonight I’m gonna party like it’s 3,999,999,999.
And it think the sun is going to live far beyond the 5 billion additional years cited. All it takes to extend it's life is the addition of copious amounts of hydrogen which can be gotten from nearby solar systems. That's just an engineering problem.
Just IMHO of course.
Godspeed
HoA
How fast is the Great Attractor moving?
P.S. Thank you for providing relevant links to the issue.
SO, both are moving at over 1 million mph in the same direction, but we are moving at 250,000mph towards each other? Or is one of us moving 250,000mph faster than the other?
And whatever happened to the concept of the big bang, where we are all moving AWAY from a central point?
Are we moving 'away' from a central point, yet 'towards' a non-central point?
And WHERE is the CENTER of the Universe anyway? Where is there something that is NOT MOVING ?
I don't think there is a center of the universe in my opinion it is infinite as is time. why I believe that is simple: There can not be a center because that means there is an end. If there is an end what is on the other side? Similar point with time.
Why, yes, it certainly does.
Which means the more we learn the less we know.
"You took the words right out of my mouth."

The human mind has no understanding of, nor experience of, anything INFINITE. Ergo, it is beyond our ability, at this time, to think of the Universe in terms of being infinite, or understand how it is even possible.
All our experience relates to being on this planet (and the moon), where everything if FINITE.
So... we are limited by our experience to 'seeing' things in terms of what we have 'experienced'.
Sometimes we get things right. Mostly, not. We constantly predict what CANNOT be, and then weeks or months later find out that what 'cannot' be actually exists.
Here's a hint: If the Universe in INFINITE, then EVERYTHING is possible, and actually exists, somewhere.
Time is another 'concept' that no other life form except humans 'contemplate'. Perhaps that makes us 'smarter' than the 'lower life forms', perhaps it does not.
It sure as heck doesn't make us happy.
Ever seen a dog look concertedly at his watch?
1815hrs my dog looks at the clock and wonders why dinner is 15 minutes late.
Makes you wonder who's the highest life form on Earth.
Not everything. The Islamic belief of a solid sky made of some kind of metal on a flat planet I doubt exists.
Oh... now we are talking about what exists in the 'mind' of man. There are no limits there, and no laws of physics apply. So... to them it exists.
Since much of our knowledge in 'inferred', there is a very fuzzy line between what is 'real', and what we 'imagine'. I believe the Great Pyramid of Giza exists, but I have never seen it in person. I cannot truly even comprehend it's size, until I do. I have to take it on 'faith' and use my 'imagination'.
I may 'doubt' that a flat planet exists (flat and round ? flat and square? Does it have any 'thickness' or is it 'two-dimensional'?), but then I haven't seen 'everything', and likely never will.
Like you, I doubt it, but I cannot 'prove' it.
Christianity says that 'satan' was sealed in a pit (perhaps in the bottom of the ocean) and will be 'released' when the time comes.
Islam says their 'prophet' was sealed in a pit (perhaps in a well) and will be 'released' when the time comes.
Very similar stories, are they not?
