We’re doomed!

Based on past history, about 99% of species that once inhabited the earth would agree with you.

Best thing to do is get your lawn chairs out and your favorite adult beverage and watch the show.

Unless you're a really fast drinker, you won't need a six-pack.

To some people one of those “traveler” bottles of vodka will do.

Well, heck. We may be fresh out of virgins, but the least we could do would be to sacrifice some more of the commoners’ civil rights and earnings.

“Think of all the natural thermal energy that could be harvested.”

My Uncle was drilling wells for thermal all around the edges of the Park, thirty years or so ago. It was a govt. project.

I think Congress needs to introduce legislation establishing Volcano Control right away...

We learned in Alaska when you get the ash fall out do NOT WASH the car.

Hose it off, but do not use any cloth until all material has been lifted away with water. That ash is actually very fine pumice; it is much harder than your paint. It contains lots and lots of tiny sharp edges. You may want to throw in some particulate face mask for yourself as well.

No wind, but wait 5 minutes.

Ya know, before I moved to this here state of New Mexico, my wife and I would talk about windy days because they were a rare thing back home (Idaho).

Now, we talk about the calm, non-windy days. For the same reason. If the wind doesn't blow, it feels weird.

I have ash from Mt. Saint Helens sitting in front of my as I type. It's in shadow box "memento" I got from someone back in the 1980. On the back of the shadow box, the breakdown of the components of the ash are given, and a little statement saying "Non-pozzolanic: Meaning when mixed with water will not form a cement or concrete. Will return to ash when dry. Used 2 grams of ash in 25 milliliters of water for testing."

Way at the bottom of southeast Kalifornia, around the Salton Sea is quite red on that map......30 years or so ago, my now late parents bought a ton of penny stock in some geothermal harvesting outfit in the area and made a sh*tpot full of money.

When Yellowstone blow up it will not only be the US that is affected.

Why worry about it the Chances are Iran will get their Nuke first and start a nuclear war.

You can’t even run off to achieve volcano safety. Internationally, the huge magma pool under Africa’s Great Rift Valley ( 500 cubic miles of magma) is the leading candidate to cause worldwide death and disaster.

Yup. Some folks will be wishing for some of that glow-bull warming. Others will have already been toasted. And I don’t mean raising a glass.

Sci-fi writer Harry Turtledove wrote a novel series about a potential Yellowstone eruption. I skimmed through it.

He imagined the soundwave from the blast being heard in Los Angeles. He also imagined that the earth tremors went just as far. Denver....write that off. It looked really bad for the rest of the country as well.

Probably make for some real purty sunsets. For those still alive after a couple of “nuculear” summers.

Hot puppies! I’m downwind. I’ll check Ebay for a set of weenie-roasting forks. 10 miles long.
