“Episodic methane expulsion”

Every morning like clockwork. No mystery to that.

IIRC, it can be seen bubbling on the ocean surface.

Without carbon being up-welled back into the air the earth would eventually run out of carbon as it is buried and all the planets would eventually starve and take all life with it...

There is a theory that without volcanoes and this seepage and even US, that the earth would eventually run out of carbon and ALL life would die.

Great find, but does anyone honestly think even ONE GANG-GREEN EnviornMentalist groupie would even consider reading anything like this without making a face like they just encountered a gigantic earth gas bubble being passed??? Pfffft!!! (I just had no idea the gas passing orofice was in such a cold part of mutha earff’s anatomy!!!)

I think you have it wrong...

occurring occasionally and at irregular intervals.

"volcanic activity is highly episodic in nature"

Pump it up from the Ocean Floor and send it through an overland Pipeline to a Methane Burning Power Plant.

Waste it or Burn it, the only two choices available unless they can use that rubber Flex Seal stuff they advertise on TV to plug the holes in the Sea Floor.

Next up, they’ll discover undersea Volcanos.
Nah, those things don’t exist.

Solution: the EPA sues the Arctic ice pack for polluting the air with recessive methane gas emissions? This is silly, but there are enough loons that populate the EPA to seriously consider this.

Apparently there were lush tropical forests and dinosaurs about the arctic circle at one time. /sarc
