I think a series of asteroids hit along with the 6 mile one.
The earth rang from the hits which triggered the volcanoes which helped kill off what were left of the dinosaurs that did not get incinerated.

You respond as a troll, you have no complaint about replies to you — of course, you won’t accept that fact, because you’re a hypocrite.

“So now university faculty will have to add yachts to their grant applications on climate change in order to fully study ocean currents and their likely demise of the human race.”

Don’t forget the “interns” of both sexes who’ll be studying under them.

... rather than a change in CO2 in the atmosphere (which causes today's climate change)...

Oh dear...that gurgling sound you hear is someone's credibility circling the drain.

I guess all those thousands of feet of layers of different sediments just don’t prove anything to some people. I was driving across country from southern Illinois to Virginia and was totally impressed with the hundreds of miles of flat sedimentary layers in the rocks along the highway. You could see how layers changed as new layers gradually became the ones that were visible. Since each layer probably took 10,000 years per inch to form, it just astounded me.

It is not inconceivable that there was also an iridium-rich meteor of some size 170 mya. Regarding the volcanism, was this by any chance the event that left us with the Giant’s Causway?

Actually, I don’t think we are dealing with a DNC plant here unless you have additional information. A DNC type might argue over volcano vs. meteor, but probably wouldn’t be concerned about the long age of the Jurassic or any other geological age, that sounds more like YEC.

You are right - as stated it is horse manure, but it can be fixed:

The team suggest that it is this volcanic event, preventing the ocean flow, rather than a change in CO2 in the atmosphere (which causes today’s climate changelending more substance to the theory that CO2 rises with temperature rather than causing the temperature to rise),

(which causes today's climate change)...

This article is a press release, no doubt written by the University Press Relations department. I'd be surprised if this comment can be found in the original published research. Very often the popular press reports are considerably different from the conclusions reported in the published scientific piece. Sometimes, the researchers themselves do this, one piece is to impress the grant givers and the real published research must satisfy their colleagues.

The answers are available in books and on the internet — bit you’re a troll, and aren’t interested in that, only in troll behavior, like fighting in a science topic. That just makes your troll status all the more clear to all comers.

Still can’t answer the question. Again, do you read any of the articles you post? It’s an easy question. Yes or no?

"Prove it" isn't a question, jackass. It's your troll opus in this particular topic. Hence "shove it" was my quite correct response. You have no interest in science or science topics, so STFU.

Go away little one, you can’t even answer a simple question. You are not serious and you do not know anything about what you are posting, otherwise you would not be afraid to answer the question. I will not waste my time with you little one.
