Which makes sense.
Before they developed wings, they had to walk across the land bridges. This also led to the development of the first bird hostels.

the evolution of modern birds was greatly shaped by the history of our planet's geography and climate.Isn't that what they say all species did? Like the giraffes needed long necks to eat the top leaves, while nothing else needed to do the same?

or so the theory goes - get back to me when they find the home movies proving their theory ...

“while diversifying during periods of global cooling.”
I thought humans caused climate change. Silly me.

And your post led me to read your link. Fascinating little critters. My wife plants a couple of things just to attract them.

When I consider the birds in my area, specifically, chickadees, sparrows, juncos, cardinals, robins, starlings, crows and the various woodpeckers, there is no way they each evolved into their own species..........
God made them individually and there is no science that can convince me otherwise........

The new research suggests that birds in South America survived this event and then started moving to other parts of the world via multiple land bridges while diversifying during periods of global cooling."Or, maybe we migrated somewhere else?"

One unanswered question, he says, is how hummingbirds got a toehold in South America at all, since today they are dependent on plants that co-evolved with them and developed unique feeding adaptations.
This as well as all other info on hummers is theory.............
When you look at the diversity of birds, from penguins to condors to hummingbirds, each has their own unique characteristic that completely separates each from the other.
Evolutionists tell us that all life began from a primordial soup but they can't tell us how and why there are literally millions of different species of bugs, birds, worms, animals, plants, microbes and germs that came out of that mud.............
If evolution occurred, it should have been in a singular direction but it didn't.
God created every living species of life on this planet.........
To: Hot Tabasco
Just for the record, “evolutionists” have nothing to say about the origin of life, just about the progression of species.

Some garden centers have the *Gartenmeister Fuschia* ...hummies love it. I'm so crazy....when I go the garden center, I bring a small photon black light ...and shine it on the plant blossoms ....you'd be amazed to *see* what a hummie sees with their tiny photoreceptors. I buy that I think they may see. :)

We have Fuchsias of all kinds here in the Pacific Northwest and the hummies go crazy over them. We hang a couple on our porch and when we BBQ they are right in front of us. Plus they are beautiful flowers.
