.. You think Christie changed his mind? ..

Sure. That happens all the time.

” You think Christie changed his mind? ..”

Politicians like Christie and Trump don’t flip-flop or change their mind. They “evolve”

As he stated, he is supporting Trump because he thinks Trump is the only one left that can beat Hillary.

It’s partly:
BS for votes;
McGuffins for power;
Negotiations for a deal;
Getting in front of a bandwagon that was just waiting for its majorette;
Genuine conviction, after a change of mind;
Deciding that the balance of practicality has moved, and that the new policy, formerly absurd, may be achievable after all;
Politicians minds are squirmy, mutable things, loaded with mixed motives, calculations, negotiations, fears, and every other human weakness.
That’s reality of politics. There are no saints and holy heroes, and even out of politics, most saints and heroes have grave flaws apparent upon close, disinterested examination.

Actually if you read Conservative Treehouse you’ll find that fat boy was a Trump operative at the top level of Republican Party the entire time - so he had to take those crappy positions to keep on the inside.

Will Christie be calling for the Muslim ban when he is stumping for Trump?

It makes complete sense. He wants a big job in the Trump administration, probably Attorney General.

“It makes complete sense. He wants a big job in the Trump administration, probably Attorney General.”

Yes.

Or Veep even.

The take home message being, neither Christie or Trump have any true convictions.

Say anything. Do anything.

I think Trump’s covered that territory already...so no need.

Christie is a politician which makes him a pragmatist. It is easier to get things done when you are part of the administration than if your opponents the Democrats are in power.

Politician and compromised principles go hand in glove.

If he said it to “get votes’ why wouldn’t the weasely senators say it too? Don’t they want votes too?

Trump has the guts to press the illegals issue, against the Pope, Mexico, the establishment, while the others tip toe around like pussies.

“Trump has the guts to press the illegals issue, against the Pope, Mexico, the establishment, while the others tip toe around like pussies.”

That’s why he is winning.

But what does that have to do with the Christie endorsement?

Christie is a liberal who is against all those things.

It makes no sense, unless a Trump told Christie he is not serious about those things and just uses issues he knows will get votes.

Christie's endorsement is just that, an endorsement.

Everyone's reading into it as if he's already Trump's VP choice or AG.

Yes, I'm aware of Christie's shaky views on illegals and guns.

Lots of people have given you excellent answers.
People aren’t just one thing, or the same thing always. Nor are either of them trustworthy, no more than any other politician. That is reality.
Neither Trump nor Christie are paper cutouts.

You would be praising Christie if he had just endorsed Cruz. This is standard roll-up politics during a primary as candidates drop out. Although I must admit, the bitterness of the Cruz camp at their candidate’s failure to gain traction is worse than usual - and I would gladly have either Trump or Cruz as the nominee.
