We had our Christmas on Wed. All my children and grandchildren were here and we had a great time. I had to go back on the truck on Thurs. and just walked into the house coming from Chicago. I will see everyone in the morning and then go back to Chicago. Eating a TV dinner. Merry Christmas everyone.

Alone here, today and tomorrow. My youngest (out of state) has to work and won’t be here until Thursday, the oldest girl works 11-11 all weekend, and so the kids and I are getting together next Friday night. I picked up pizza, and am watching movies!

MST3K= Mystery Science Theater 3000. It was a comedy series on cable in the 90’s where they skewered bad films with commentary during the film. At times, it could be quite funny.

I'll be by myself in about an hour or so. Earlier in 2016 I lost a parent, our house pet of many years died, and one of us was hospitalized for a while; lots of loss, worry and stress. This has been the "holiday season that wasn't" for us. But…

Christmas isn't really about the extras, it is about the gift that we can't ever be separated from.

I'm still warm, dry and have a decent - if frugal - Christmas eve meal tucked away. Beats the heck out of being in in a foxhole on the N edge of the Bulge on December 24, 1944.

Just me and a mouse running around.
So the following doesn't apply here...

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

Alone at home, but awaiting my little raccoon arrivals for their evening feeding. Merry Christmas to all! We celebrate God coming into the flesh as a baby in a manger long ago! Hallelujah, the Lord has come.

Alone every Christmas since 1993. I don’t complain. I’m used to it.

Alone, Thank God.

I spent years of hard work for the right and and the conditions to be alone.

Unfortunately I do have a friend coming to spend new years.

I wish I was alone! I could’ve gone to the sports bar and watched the Packers!

Just kidding. Both my daughters still live close to me, as opposed to living close to their mother who is in the next state, South Carolina. They’re here with me on this Christmas Eve as usual.

I have a pot roast in the crock pot which is just about done. We have a tradition that we will eat while we watch “A Christmas Story”.

Though tonight, the girls are debating whether or not to change the tradition, and watch “Die Hard” instead.

You can guess what my vote is!

Merry Christmas to All! One of my friends is spending Christmas Eve alone, he’s usually sad, but oh well. I’m spending it with family.

Merry Christmas to All!

Thank you and a Merry Christmas to you. My 2 sisters
and I are all single with no kids and we all live as
neighbors so we are dining together Xmas Eve which
is family tradition as it is our late dad’s birthday.
We are not shut-ins and not antisocial. I work with
teens at a residential treatment facility. Some boys
don’t have the ability to go home for Xmas so I will
head up to the ranch and spend some time w/them as
they enjoy their gifts. Later, I will attend a house
party for empty nesters. The host passed on last Summer
but his wife decided to carry on with the tradition. It
will be bitter-sweet for sure.

Again, Merry Christmas to all FRiends!

My son and I had Christmas Eve dinner together...then he went off to watch the Bucaneers Saints game. (From the looks of it he won’t be happy with results ) We had spiral-cut ham, roasted brussel sprouts, garlic mashed potatoes, homemade rolls...yum.

I’m working early shift at hospital (5:30am) tomorrow so am tucking in early. It’s a wonderful place to be on Christmas in a way. A special quiet and love is present, and patients, though not wanting to be there seem to sense it. Hard to describe, it’s a peace.

God be with all you dear freepers on Christmas and Chanukah.

~~For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.~~

I am at home alone, this is my second Christmas Eve alone since my wife of 50 years went to be with the Lord.

Christmas day, Church in the morning, then back here for dinner with my daughter, and her family.
