Come on now, you cannot trust “science.” Unless it has to do with Climate Change.
Or something like that.

A probe of Uranus is required.

Yes, I know. I was just expanding on what you said about the Moon’s known gravitational effects on the oceans. One would have to be a complete ‘lunatic’ to think distant planets would have any significant gravitational effects here on Earth, although other planets actually do effect us gravitationally. They tug slightly on the Earth and cause it to ‘wobble’ a wee bit in its orbit. The effect is known as “perturbation”.
“Perturbation, in astronomy, deviation in the motion of a celestial object caused either by the gravitational force of a passing object or by a collision with it. For example, predicting the Earths orbit around the Sun would be rather straightforward were it not for the slight perturbations in its orbital motion caused by the gravitational influence of the other planets.”—Encyclopædia Britannica

Sorry. Astrology isn’t research.
As for a 5.2: something like that happens literally every day.

This is the part that fascinates me about astrophysics. Everyone always thinks of the sun just sitting there and we’re rotating around it, but in fact we’re all moving relative to the Milky Way at extreme velocities... you would think that eventually the “drag” of dust would cause the planets to fall behind.... and how did they all get up to momentum together .... and why aren’t all those asteroids and Kupier belt objects falling behind....
It’s just fasicinating such a complicated creation.

Planetary alignments don’t contribute a tiny, tiny, tiny amount of gravity compared to phases of the moon. Jupiter is several times further than the sun, and several hundred times less massive. Adding in Mercury or Uranus is like worrying whether a pollen grain landing on a cruise ship will sink it.
