And I forgot one of my favourites...Geert Wilders.

No doubt he was railroaded, framed, set up, maligned in the same manner as Dinesh D’Souza, Donald Trump, General Mike Flynn, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and so many others.

That is my belief, too. I do not trust anything at all that comes from the left...and that's putting it lightly.

We had a similar problem last year in the US, when anti-Antifa forces became peopled with unsavory characters (i.e., the guy who punched Moldylocks in the mouth...

...is an identitarian.

Yes, I understand you can't always get what you want, and indeed the USSR was part of the allied forces in WWII. But sinful behavior is sinful, and if I find myself working alongside a racist Hillary hater/Trump lover, I will go find someone else - there are plenty of better people out there.

In this case, the issue isn't whether or not Tommy Robinson is a liar or a criminal or a hero. This is about due process and censorship even if you don't like the "bad guy," as eloquently put by Mark Steyn in his latest article on this topic.

From one Bob to another, thank you for putting this out there.

Absolutely! It was not the lily white, saints who fought for our freedom. They were men who spoke roughly, acted roughly.

I posted this on another thread.
If, indeed, Tommy is a bad sort, then why are the Brits acting as they are? I mean, the press blackout, the excessive drama over the arrest etc. All they had to do was have the press speak of all of his sins and how evil he is to the British way and so on. Exaggerate his wrongdoings.
Maybe because it is known that the reason for his actions is righteous and that the country condemned him to a death sentence because he insults their masters? They are creating a martyr and, no matter his previous sins, that will not bode well for them.
Consider MLK. He was a far from perfect man, as was JFK. Yet, they are revered. Going back further, we know many of our hero forefathers were miscreants and blackguards (or considered so), not all, but many. Yet, their good far outweighed their rough histories.

Just saying that Tommy Robinson is not being punished for being a “bad” person. He is being punished for doing the right thing when tptb support what is wrong.

The man sentenced for leaving a bacon sandwich died about a year into his sentence.

Caipirabob,

Who is the ‘we’ that are agreeing with you from your post? This incarceration is about totalitarianism and if you let it stand, maybe they will come for you next.

First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.

- MARTIN NIEMÖLLER

And with forgiveness from the author, I will add the modern day additional stanza to this poem:

Then they came for Tommy Robinson
and I didn’t speak up
Because he was not a conservative.

Exactly the point I was trying to make to capribob who was telling us we needn’t pay any attention because the guy didn’t meet his “standards”....

Joan of Arc was companion in arms to Gilles de Rais who would go on to murder 100 children. Do we ignore her contributions to ending war? No. People need to understand the threat better.
