The quality of the pants looks shabby. Looks thin and without much body or thickness, prone to wrinkles.
What’s this about pinks and greens?
Sincerely,
Pink and Green Mom
That was the dress uniform we wore when I was in the army, way back when. I’m not sure why they call the trousers “pink,” since they look more like khaki. But that was the official word, for some reason.
We are what, almost two decades in Afghanistan?
This is why.
Focus on winning the war.
Send every Admiral and General from the past twenty years to Afghanistan.
Call them The Star Battalion.
They dont come home until we win.
Maybe that will make them focus.
At least it looks like the trousers don’t have a horrible stripe of some color on the sides, like the blue trousers have that horrible gold stripe.
Sharpest boots ever. Of course, it took a while to lace them up.
I honestly like them. But so much of it looks like dress up day. Did you see some of the models walking around in the distressed caps? I know, they looked good on Rommel and MacArthur, but....
Looks like earliest use date is 2020 from the article...
I like the look - hated when they went to the previously Dress Blues as regular wear. The interesting thing in this new/old look is the officer wearing the branch & rank insignia on the shirt under the uniform blouse. I guess this means the blouse can be taken off for regular wear as a Class B uniform, something you could not do with the old poplin shirt under the Army Green blouse. It was OK when they came out with the grey/green shirt with epaulets for a rank sleeve.
Yea because Jimmy Doolittle was so gay, not to mention Patton, Ike..... you know, all those fairies.
I like them. They look a damn sight better they had back in the 70s/80s.
I'm guessing it will be the same as for the Green class A: General officers had gold braid piping, Company and Field Grad officer's have braided black and gold, Warrant officers had black and silver and enlisted ranks were piped with the same green as the rest of the cap.
At one time, the enlisted garrision cap had the primary branch color for the piping.
Yep, it'll be the '90s throwback uniform. Where's that "Aw Jeez" guy. I'm so sick of buying new uniforms. We have Soldiers in moldy barracks rooms with inop showers and this is what the brass thinks will save the day. Unreal.
LOL. I've got your gay right here:
"114th Pennsylvania Collis Zouaves"
In 20 years , Peoples Commissar of peoples fashions commissariat will tell Peoples Army what to wear.
If Moose Limbs don’t get to us first ...
I think they are sharp.
Of course, the IDF (in whose reserves I remain) basically copied US/British WWII uniforms for its ceremonial uniforms and we are too bound by tradition to ever change anything, so of course I approve.
I actually own one, but can’t say I’ve ever had much occasion to wear it. Always stuck with flight suit. Benefits of being a pilot.
Most of today's soldiers are too soft. If they don't like the barracks, give them the option of a tent.
What is the Branch of service badge the female officer is wearing?
“Sam Browne belts for officers?”
Absolutely!
And jodphurs for Generals!
Think George C Scott in the opening scene of Patton.
You know it takes a badass to wear pink jodphurs.
