Not in NYC these days you don’t. Cop would be hanging from deBlasio’s office window today. Stiil it seems they dont train or use these new batons the way they used the rosewood. In those times each of these guys would have taken a shot to the solar plexus with the point of the night stick.

They’re clubs, sometimes called coshes or cozzes. In other words, baton, billy club, or whatever you want to call it. They’re weighted and can do serious damage.
