Woke up to a dusting in Pittsburgh.
I lived in Michigan for several years where much heavier amounts, much later in April, were common.
Cambria County, PA: full covering of snow on the ground this morning. Less than an inch (barely). This global warming is making it pretty cold; 2:30 p.m. and it’s 35 degrees.
I’m at 5,412 on mountain west side of Reno. No snow here, temperature is now 65 degrees. There is snow on the surrounding mounts, figure starting by 7,000 feet. Incredible snow pack up in Truckee and throughout the Sierras.
We have family in Ohio - snowed last night.
Fresh snow 3/30 & 3/31 here in Northeast Indiana. A dusting, mostly melted now.
Minneapolis-clear except for shady areas where a few small piles remain.
My wife and I are considering re-locating to a decent state that has no worries about snow. MA isn’t totally hardcore in the snow department, but we’ve had enough. Finally might move. Any suggestions for a warm state that isn’t sweltering?
Spokane. Here and there a small pile of dirty snow that was shoveled off driveways and parking lots. Most of it finally melted last week.
The Twins took two of three from Cleveland at Target Field this weekend.
The parkas didnt seem to hinder either the batters or fielders.
Snow all over the place, foot deep still on our pasture.
That’s Central Vermont!
You’re obviously not familiar with Game of Thrones and the iconic character Ned Stark (played by Sean Bean).
Wsa 22 degrees and snowed overnight. Got 2”-3” in Rochester, NY.
Sun came out and it’s gone now.
Piles and drifts left in southern MN. Saw some drifts remaining in northern IA too. Some snow possible along MN-IA border tonight.
I think it is a TV show. Am I right?
I can say that I graduated from Cornell, have you heard of that? (The wording may not be quite right).
So I’m not totally lost when it comes to important contemporary facts.
I’m a bit more at home in the 6th century (B.C., A.D., doesn’t matter) than I am in some of the more cutting edge aspects of contemporary culture. My loss, perhaps.
UpState NY 50 miles below Albany. 24F - One inch of fresh snow fell overnight. Flurried till 10am.
Ok
It was just a joke leveraging a character from a popular HBO series for the punch line.
I will never do it again!
Don’t refrain on my account—statistically, your move was probably a good bet. I’m just a little atypical in some ways.
I do things like that all the time—and then end up explaining a bit of history or culture to my students, which is probably an ok use of their time.
My little corner of the Gay State is 99.99% snow free...but not 100%
And Snow is forecast for Lake Tahoe this weekend, so there will be snow on the mountain passes in the area.
Just looked at Mammoth Mountain:
Season total 449” at the lodge (8,909 ft), 667” at the Summit (11,053ft)
Current Base: 160” @ Lodge, 195” @ McCoy Sta., and 230” @ Summit
Welcome to year round skiing!
