I believe he will ensure they pay for their deeds, what I don’t know is what the public display will be.
Will it be they are executed in secret and died from natural causes publicy?
Jailed in secret and ‘decided to withdraw from public life’ publicly?
I don’t think he would publicly state a fake pardon and then secretly execute/jail them, as that would be a lie to the public and he wouldn’t be one to go along with that in my mind.
However, I do believe he may not disclose the punishments in order to allow the country’s wounds to close; while at the same time removing them publicly from the stage and demonstrating that they committed actionable crimes.
They have to be thinking about the potential for blowback from the 10% of the public that will never be able to come to grips with what they’ve been told their entire lives.
