Three years after The Oroville Dam threatened to wipe this area off the map, the flood of economic activity it set to burst upon this region!

When the new restaurant in Sutter called The French Whisk opens, mention you heard it about it on FR and I will personally pay for a glass of wine or beer for you.

Sutter County is a loooooooong way from Arizona. But if you’re ever up this way give me a ping. No expiration date on this offer.

Heh, heh. I may have to wear one while serving you you beer on wine but I’m fairly sure you won’t have to wear one.

I’ll take you up on it!
We used to come through northern California all the time when we lived in Seattle would come down to Tahoe and Turlock to visit family. Beautiful area; too bad it’s in California.

It’s not in California. It’s in The State of Jefferson.

I remember seeing those signs when I was a youngling. I would love for it to be official.

It’s a state of mind. So, as far as we are concerned, it is official.

Looking forward to it. One of my jobs is at a duck club just a couple of miles from Gridley. If you have time, I’ll take you for a spin around the property.

You got that right. Before America became a country, Colonists were mockingly called "Americans" by the subjects of Great Britain.
The Colonists embraced the name. As do we Jeffersonians.
