My daughter who has traveled alone all over the world from age 17 up to early 20s including backpacking through southeast Asia by herself, going to Beijing, Mongolia, all by herself told me when she and I spent one night in Memphis on our way across country 10 years ago that it was the only place she’s ever been in her life that she felt unsafe. She said it really spooked her.

The Atlanta Greyhound restroom was frightening.
